Delay on Tour II - "The Greek Marathon"
After our first Journey to the base of electronic music in Berlin last september, this time we climb the Olymp in Greece! Ups, it isn't in Thessaloniki? Anyway, so we'll rock with Elvis on this very special date, not such a bad deal! As we and all of you lovely Greeks will be free for a monday after on the 25th! Let us make everyone believe, that this day will never end!

Pit Spector comes the long way from Paris to Thessaloniki for his very first time in Greece, with his second solo ep on Minibar-Music in his luggage, after his tour through the Berlin Club scene. His first release on French house music pioneer Cabanne’s label was described as amazing, for the second one, we only found one word: impressive! Pit is working for many years on various musical projects like Antislash, Avas Verden, Cellule Eat & Radiozerozero. With the minibar 028, he presents a very personal release witnessing his studio work. The result is a mixture of mental and dancy tracks, influenced by instruments and machines, space vocals and weird samples. For years completely involved into the Parisian electronic scene, he switches between producing, dj-ing, travelling around to make people enjoy one of his unbelievable live gigs and his daily life work at the awesome ZeroZero Bar in Paris. Now he meets Elvis on the Grandabeach in Greece with a live performance and also a dj set !

We recommend: Keep an eye on this a young talented woman! Born in 1987, Maria Strantza aka Maria S is raised and still based in Greece-Thessaloniki! When young Maria explored her passion and love for music in general, there was not this feeling of: “I have to become a Djane”! It was more like a step by step process, while she explored the greece night life and maybe that’s the reason why she has this special way of playing as a listener, and not just as a act from behind the booth. Her selection of deep house, tech house and underground tracks, makes the audience believe, that there is one of them behind the decks. Maybe that’s one of the reasons, why she was awarded for her 3rd place last year at the "City in the mix 2012" competition. But as she is a restless spirit, she is now preparing her first steps in production. So be aware and take the opportunity to listen to her flawless deep house, tech house and underground beats.

Already kind of a resident dj on our events, even this time Jaymod joins us for the second edition of Delay on Tour. He is a pioneer of spreading electronic music in Greece and resident in the Greek nightlife. He is also known as one of two hosts of The Freaks Radio Show on Saturday nights (together with Stelios Peltoglou aka Beta Boy) live at 93.5 fm Noize Radio Greece. Some producers and DJ’s who have been presented through the show so far are: Alex Flitsch, 3 Channels/Cats n Dogs, Chaim, Dave Dk, Ed Davenport, Florian Meindl, Franklin De Costa, Guy Gerber, Move D, Paul Brtschitsch & Sasse, just to name a few. Not just while playing monthly at Elvis in Thessaloniki, also during his visits in citys like Berlin, Cologne and Paris, he got higly respected by the scene dj's for his deep knowledge and skills. It reminds us a bit on one of our past events, but nothing fits better to Dim.ad as the description: Local Hero! As known around the surroundings for his unique style of mixing the finest collection of tracks, from deep house to techhouse, he also surprises his crowd often with some nice techno and untypical underground tunes. In the last years, Dim.ad also started to produce and the results were realeased on labels like my frist love records and woob.le. Just stay tuned on the eventpage, we’ll give you some little tastes of his works during the next weeks. Dim.ad was playing in most famous clubs & bars of his Homebase & abroad like: Batofar Paris, Airport Club, Morlox Berlin, Loop Athens, Raum Berlin, Basement Berlin, etc. and of course at ELVIS Bar! For this very special night, he’ll prepare a set for us, which will make even our french guest dance, that’s for sure!
