Heavy Gossip & Ultragroove Relaunch with Voyeur

  • On Saturday April 27th a new chapter begins for Heavy Gossip and Ultragroove's collaboration when they set up shop at The Breakfast Club. Located on the site of Heavy Gossip's spiritual home, The Breakfast Club has been given a much needed face lift, kitted out with a brand new sound system, but will maintain the intimate vibe that made the Heavy Gossip parties there so special. VOYEUR: Voyeur are a Leeds via London based duo consisting of Benson Herbert and Leo Picking. Currently in their final year of university, the two first appeared in March 2012 with a remix for Bombay Bicycle Club, which was named Rob da Bank’s ‘remix of the year’ and gained serious airplay from Radio 1 tastemakers including Annie Mac. Commissions to remix the likes of Santigold and Dan le Sac followed, as well as invitations to support Disclosure and Submotion Orchestra. Now starting to carve their own brand of deep, smokey, house, Voyeur were recently snapped up by deep house pioneer Kerri Chandler to release their debut ‘Blame It On The Youth’ EP on his Madtech Records imprint. Upon hearing the single, Kerri was so excited that he insisted on blessing the package with his own club mix, as well as inviting the boys to DJ alongside him in the Boiler Room. The release has since been championed by the likes of X-Press 2, George Fitzgerald, Disclosure and Dusky.
