Nocturnal returns on the 22nd of June with an ever present figure in the house scene since the early 1990's, Nick Harris started his career in dance as a booking agent for Derrick Carter, Dimitri From Paris, Angel Moraes, Carl Craig and many more.
He set up the NRK Music label in 1996, and the label has gone on to been a mainstay in the deep house and tech house scenes, releasing over 170 singles, 45 albums plus mix compilations. The discography of NRK reads like a Who's Who of dance music, with artists as diverse as Peace Division, Joe Claussell, Miguel Migs, Rolando, Dave Clarke, DJ Sneak, Seth Troxler, Nick Holder, Kerri Chandler and Paul Woolford all contributing to the label at some point in its 15 year tenure.
Over the last couple of years, Nick has stepped out from behind the shadows to release his own music and remixes on labels like Poker Flat, Fresh Meat, Moodmusic, Nite Grooves, Stoned Immaculate and, of course, NRK. As a DJ, Nick has been playing clubs since those formative years, and has played at many clubs over the years including Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Sankeys, Panorama Bar and many more.
Nick continues to run NRK Music, which celebrates it's 15th anniversary this year with the release of a 3CD set "Forever Underground" including a mix from Nick himself. Nick also runs Stoned Immaculate, and is an owner of Optimum Mastering studios in Bristol.
Also on the bill we have up and coming DJ and production duo Scott Gibson and Miki Mclean aka Birds In The Basement.
The pair who hail from Scotland's vibrant Capital Edinburgh produce and DJ under the name System'e' and have releases on labels such as Ampispazi Recordings out of Milan Italy and Staffordshire based Funk Me Recordings as well as remixing acclaim artists such as Sterling Void and Sweet Exorcist.
Their sound can best be described as Deep House Music and while this can vary from more laid back balearic vibes to more club orientated sleazy jams there is always one key element consistent throughout all their productions and remixes which is the 'Groove'.
They have also DJ'ed at all the major venues in Scotland such as the Arches in Glasgow and the Liquid Room in Edinburgh for top nights such as Colours and Karnival as well as countless underground parties and hip festivals throughout the UK and Ibiza.
With future releases and plenty of gigs in the pipeline this talented act are well worth keeping your eye on.
Last but not least is Nocturnal's resident alottarhythman always setting the right pace and warming up nicely with his Deep, Dark & Sexy House Vibes.
