NETHERLANDS SENSATION - BAS AMRO from FREERANGE RECORDS
Since his first releases in the beginning of 2008 – at the age of 16 – Bas Amro kept surprising other DJ’s and producers from all over the world with the great variation in his productions.
Inspite him being relatively young, you won’t hear this in his productions and sets. Amro’s sound is hard to describe precisely. His tracks are oldskool but modern, they’re deep but energetic; and he never limits himself to one style. While producing house, deephouse, techhouse and even techno, his tracks all have something in common that together makes this one recognizable and unique Bas Amro sound.
After some small remixes and releases, he showed in 2010 the scene why he deserves a spot out there with the release of the ‘Le Huitième Arrondissement’ EP on Darko Esser’s Wolfskuil Records, that got him a huge amount of support, amongst this list legends like Laurent Garnier, Jimpster and Steve Bug. This release opened many doors for him, like releasing his many times charted ‘Ten’ EP on the class A label Freerange owned by Jimpster.
