HOLY FUCK are a modern electronic dance act who eschew modern technology. Their lo-tech battery operated keyboards and toys, manipulated and distorted create live, frenetic energy; pop and techno classics harnessing the element of surprise and earning critical acclaim.
DIRTY PROJECTORS is the brainchild of Brooklyn based David Longstreth, who has invited like-minded, talented musicians on board to from a full band. The beautiful interlocking guitars and gorgeous vocal harmonies evoke something close to a melting pot of Prince, Bjork, Antony Hegarty and Joni Mitchell whilst Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor production on the album has added a rich textured dimension. Even though the guitars move like a West African dance band or math rock, the songs seem propelled by the constant resolutions of notes rather than the beats themselves.
