  • Nublu presents 1981 1981 is a special underground night for New Yorkers and guests who don't shy away from gourmet. For people who have a special taste for the electronic music genre TECHNO. Electronic sound by very special artists from all around the world. Dj's and producers who don't play main stream music. Kommi * Live * Kommi is the new solo project of Berlin and New York based artist Kamran Sadeghi. A man of many hats, who over the years has shared the bill with artists such as Vladislov Delay, Fennesz, Diamond Version, Fumiya Tanaka and many others. Sadeghi's previous solo electronic works have been routinely covered in the WIRE Magazine. His most recent performances in Berghain / Panorama Bar ( Berlin ) and Arma 17 ( Moscow ) with the art group Soundwalk Collective used recordings of vibrations in the clubs, caused by the sound systems, to sculpt rhythms. Although Sadeghi's work is meticulous, make no mistake, 'Kommi' is crafted for the dance floor. Alka Rex Alka Rex is critically acclaimed electronic music project by Sasha Kaline and Edward Krilov covering a diverse range of music styles with certain experimental appeal, using unorthodox sounds, twisting and bending them to incorporate new and unexpected aspects to they music. Duo is constantly seeking new grids and ideas, mostly from modular synthesizers and random generating music software's. Offbeat tech-funk swing and quirky rhythmic meanderings are the heart and soul of they compositions. Alka Rex taste in music is also featured in they performances, either playing live robotic lounge funk or tearing up the floor with abstract techno using various sound manipulation techniques. Every set makes room for improvisation where music is re-defined, often with surprising outcomes. Alka Rex aim to make you abandon your preconceptions by infusing some serious funk into their techno, and surely succeeding in elevating your consciousness while making you dance like a fool. Releasing music works on electronic labels: Musique Risque, Thema, Multi Vitamins, Konque, Mille Plateaux Julia Govor (Visionquest, Get Physical) Julia is a parade of talent and charisma, born to move people. She started out mixing music live using multiple cassette tape decks in the south of Russia in 1997. For the past five years she has traveled the world interviewing the most critically acclaimed producers and Dj's. Govor's special resonant frequencies and bizarre melodies have caught the attention of labels such as VisionQuest and Get Physical resulting in recent releases on both labels. Julia is a resident of legendary Moscow underground club "Arma 17" and Berlin’s "Katerholzig". She has very little patience for most things except one, moving bodies on the dance floor. Simon Blackbirds (Soundwalk Collective ) Simon Blackbirds is a sound artist born in Italy, based between New York and Berlin. He is co-producer of Soundwalk Collective's projects and contributes creatively to the making and realization of its art and performance work. His live work with the Collective is mainly staged at various centers of contemporary art across the globe, from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, to the New Museum in NYC, to the Shanghai Biennial of Art. His techno sets instinctively tune in to a sound that is quite stripped down to the basics, sometimes looking for rhythmical complexity and slightly abstract in their nature.
