It gives us great pleasure to announce that the special guest for Future History's November party is the one and only Brennan Green.
His productions on independent dance labels such as Crosstown Rebels, DFA, Modal, Daniel Wang's Balihu and his own label, Chinatown, have an organic feel that is rare in modern dance music. Green's vinyl-only releases combine both acoustic and electronic instrumentation to unearth irresistible grooves, atypical rhythms and hypnotic basslines. As a remixer Brennan has also found a voice all of his own with popular remixes for Liquid Liquid, Lindstrom, Runaway, DFA and Canadian superstars Art Department. His recent remix of Damian Lazarus' Neverending for Get Physical was picked as Pete Tong's Essential New Tune on BBC Radio One.
Brennan's genre-bending DJ-sets take the crowd through sounds that span disco, house, techno and krautrock. His New York parties Pop Your Funk (APT, 01-04) and Junky Blues (Flamingo, 99-01) were instrumental in pioneering the current underground disco sound and since then he has toured extensively through Japan, Australia, Europe and North America playing at Fabric, Tape Club, Paradise Lost, P.S.1, Horse Meat Disco, whilst also holding down a residency at NYC's east village jazz outpost Nublu (04-Present).
This is a rare opportunity to catch Brennan play an extended set in the UK and tickets will be extremely limited, as such we would advise booking in advance
