Episode 1 of Big fist Manchester arrives on the 25 October at the amazing Victorian basement that is Joshua Brooks. We are pround to have Tom Flynn as our headliner on the launch night an Artist that has been a big fist favourite for the past few years. Tom will be supported by Big Fist residents and Guests tba.
Tom Flynn
Awarded the 'Best Break Through Producer' award by Pete Tong, Englands Tom Flynn is renowned as one of House musics most respected forward thinking producers. An International DJ, Producer, Engineer and Remixer, Tom has regularly graced the worlds biggest dance floors as well as gaining an army of support along the way. His DJ sets range through the whole spectrum of house, from deep to techno, which also reflects itself in his productions and remixes.
Having released on labels such as Mobilee, Hypercolor & Dirtybird, it's not hard to see why Tom has gained praise and recognition from the cream of the worlds best DJ's.
His music can regularly be heard on Pete Tongs Essential Selection show on BBC Radio 1, picking up 'Essential New Tune' awards for songs like 'Bianca', as well as in the record boxes of Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Claude Vonstroke and Loco Dice.
Coming from a very musical background, there was only one way Tom was going to go once House music had been discovered at the early age of 12. From playing piano to studying music at college, Tom has been hard at work in and out of the studio ever since, and not just in dance music.
Currently collaborating with people like Pete Tong & Paul Rogers, i think it's a fair to say we will be hearing more & more from Tom Flynn.......
Paul Bleasdale
He is the original Cream resident DJ and widely recognised as one of the leading DJ residents of his time. He is credited for helping shape the tough funky sound of Cream's famous Annexe room, playing alongside the worlds leading DJ's
Paul’s illustrious career has also seen him headline parties all over the country, with regular vists around the globe, including Ibiza.
After some time away from the decks to pursue other interests, Paul is back on the circuit again and playing sold out shows across the UK and Ireland in celebration of Cream’s 20th Anniversary.
Paul is also currently working on his latest studio production project, with eagerly anticipated releases planned for 2013. His first track 'Annexed' on Big Fist records reached No1 in the track it down techno chart, His next release The Sound is expected to do just as well
Nik Feral
Manchester resident Nik Feral, has fully embroiled himself in the Tech House/Techno scene with a relentless string of well received productions and remixes, steadily adding weight to his back catalogue.
Releasing on world recognised labels such as Umek’s 1605 Music Therapy imprint and Sasha Carassi’s Globox, Nik’s productions have been garnering increasingly more frequent support from major players like, Funk D'Void Slam, Drumcell, Dubfire, Pig&Dan, Laurent Garnier, & Danny Tenaglia to name but a few.
Nik continues to support those labels who were savvy enough to spot his talent in the early days, now broadens his horizons with working along side Alex Nemec on co productions and set to take the scene by storm, adding weight to his expansion by breaking out with the Primal Nature Alias working along side Steve Owen, all with many years experience to add to their belts, Nik is in it for the long run and continues to grow in his sound and nature… Creating a unique style that is one to look out for...
and introducing Paul Monaghan
Paul started his journey into electronic music when he purchased his first set of belt drive turntables. Spured on by tales of the Hacienda and inspiration from greats such as Sasha and John Digweed,Steve Lawler and Danny Tenaglia amongst others paul started playing sets for Disco Electronica,Bugged out,Kaluki and We love Sankeys at the now legendary Sankeys Manchester club.
Another high point in his dj career was playing the V.I.P tent at the Ian Brown tour for The Warehouse Project.
Production is also a big part for paul studying under the likes of John Da Silva and Martin Moscrop gave paul the skills to gain releases on HMSP Music Society and Pure Substance Records with originals and remixes for Funny Tangle, Aaron Underwood and Charles Logan
