  • Guerilla Agency presents part one of two very special showcases, at one of London's most authentic underground venues, Cafe 1001. Formed in Berlin, and now based-out of both the industrial metropolis of Turin, in Northern Italy and the leafy suburbia of Surrey, just south of London, the ‘Guerilla Agency’ is an ambitious, innovative and forward thinking Artist Management Agency, with a propensity for ‘precision in sound and perfection in music’. With an exciting young roster of aspirational artists from all over Europe, revered by industry heavyweights including TiNI, Yaya, Randall M, Anthea, Enzo Siragusa, Medeew & ChicksLuvUs , to name but a few, you can expect a fusion of deep house through to minimal tech house and techno, from this eclectic array of next generation electronic musicians. ***************************************************** Meet The Gang... *Scott Kemp* (Mobilee / Hypertone / NoVus) Having enjoyed his most successful year to date, Scott Kemp continued his ascent to the forefront of a new generation of tech-house pioneers in 2013, achieving stand-out releases on some of the hottest labels of the moment, whilst also gracing some of Europe’s coolest party destinations, including London, Ibiza, Turin and Cologne. Scott opened the year with his ‘Neptis’ EP, which was released in February on Detroit based label ‘Hypertone‘, and enjoyed impressive remixes from both Randall M (tINI and the Gang) and London’s ‘first lady’ Anthea. This was followed-by a stomping three track EP collaboration with Berlin based Miss Jools in August, and ‘London Asylum’ was released on the infamous ‘mobilee records’ with another tasty remix from close friend and ‘mentor’ Anthea. Most recently, Scott’s second collaboration with Miss Jools, ‘Bring It Back’, dropped on Manchester based vinyl imprint ‘Lowroom Recordings‘, and featured bomb remixes from Fuse’s Ittetsu and Alexandar Kyosev. Needless to say then, that with his label NoVus due to launch in early 2014, with a debut VA that includes tracks from Randall M, Lilith, P.Jones, Chad Andrew and Duky, Scott’s momentum shows no sign of slowing-down, and that includes his own release schedule too…With another solid track due for release on Fuse’s sub-label ‘Infuse’, early-into the new year, and a 4 track EP also scheduled for release on the highly-regarded ‘Turquoise Blue Recordings’, accompanied by a fine array of remixes from DJ W!ld, Hector and Seph, it’s safe to say that 2014 will be even more colossal for this likely London lad. It’s no surprise then, that we really cannot wait to hear what musical treats Scott has in store for us when he headlines our showcase event at Cafe 1001 next weekend… Full Bio: www.guerilla-agency.co.uk/roster Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/scott-kemp *Bolumar* Luna Records / Kote / Act Natural / NoVus) Originating from the beautiful and historic Spanish stronghold of Valencia, ‘Jose Bolumar Molina’ alias ‘Bolumar’, has prominently emerged from the city’s increasingly vibrant underground music scene as one of its most cherished musicians. With the highlight of Bolumar’s 2012 being his appearance on ‘Luna Records Best of 2012 VA‘, alongside some of the year’s top breakthrough artists including Dan Farserelli, Brett Jacobs, and Guerilla Agency’s DZNB, 2013 has seen this slight Spaniard continue to grow with his productions, and churn-out some of his most promising musical compositions to date. His collaboration on ‘Deep Tech Records‘ with fellow Guerilla Agency counterpart Scott Kemp was one Bolumar’s strongest releases so far, and more recently his three track EP ‘Suspiros Also’, which was released on London’s ‘Kote Records’, has further reassured his future potential as one to watch in 2014 and beyond. So with the likes of Scuba, Oxia and East End Dubs, to name but a few, regularly charting Bolumar’s growing resumé of deeply rooted minimal and dub-based house, we are very proud to welcome him to London next weekend, where he’ll no doubt give us a taste of what to expect as we look towards the next chapter in his musical journey… Full Bio: www.guerilla-agency.co.uk/roster Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/bolumar *Alex van Ratingen LIVE* (Baile / Leone / NoVus) Every now and again you come across a natural born musician, a distinguished individual who possesses an intuitive passion and predisposition for living, sleeping and breathing music. Alex Van Ratingen embodies exactly that. Hailing from Germany’s fourth largest city of ‘Cologne’, Alex Van Ratingen’s honest affection for music shines-through in both his intelligent productions and his ability to proliferate the dance floor. With his native city having already spawned two of the industry’s most exciting house and techno acts, in Robert Babicz and Michael Mayer, Alex Van Ratingen has every intention of following a similar pathway to success as his Cologne born predecessors. 2013 really has set Alex on his pathway to such success, boasting a distinct and intelligent sound which has all the hallmarks of surfacing right to the top of the industry. Strong releases on ‘Leone Music‘ and ‘Baile Musik’ have asserted a growing following of admirers as this year has progressed, and the imminent launch of his own label ‘Steppers & Sleepers‘ with Birmingham based artist Augustus Gloop {anon.}, upon which Alex plans to release his debut album in Spring 2014, has whetted our palettes as we look towards the next year and beyond. As our only live artist to be showcased at next week’s event, we hold high-expectations for what this German technician has in store for us, as he intelligently combines Maschine with F1 controller and launchpad, to craft what will inevitably be a top-draw performance for all those lucky enough to be in attendance… Full Bio: www.guerilla-agency.co.uk/roster www.soundcloud.com/alex-van-ratingen *Neil Catlin* (Yoruba Grooves / Alboratory / Low to High / Second Step Records) Every now and again you come across a natural born musician, a distinguished individual who possesses an intuitive passion and predisposition for living, sleeping and breathing music. The youngest of Guerilla Agency’s collective of aspiring artists, Roon is by no means averse to what is required to make it right to the top in the electronic music trade. Currently studying audio engineering and mastering at the Sound Education College in Utrecht , this musical scholar finds himself developing his production skills in the studio for endless hours each day, with such efforts inevitably contributing to what should become a sustainable and successful career in the industry. Already mooted by the mother-like figure that is tINI, who has expressed a specific interest in what this young Dutchman has to offer in future years, Roon is closely supported by his ‘Karton‘ family, most notably Pelle Loopik (P. Jones) and David van Bilderbeek, making regular appearances at their hotly dubbed label showcase parties across Holland. With a collaboration that sees Roon join forces with Karton’s Co-Founder ‘P.Jones’ (Early Dub Records / Dorcas / Art of Dark /Kina Music), on a release which is due out on Fuse’s sub-label ‘Infuse‘, in early 2014, and prospective releases on some equally exciting and established labels throughout the course of the next 12 months, Roon’s destiny is very much in his own hands…Renowned for his affection of collecting and playing limited edition vinyl, there is no rush for this imposing 22 years young musician to achieve his potential. However, let it be known that this academic has every intention of achieving such potential, as he continues to evolve at his own steady pace, and there is no doubting that Roon’s musical capabilities will be laid bare for one and all to admire, when he graces the booth at Cafe 1001 next weekend… Full Bio: www.guerilla-agency.co.uk/roster Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/roon91 *Kolo & Dyze* (Cubism) Driven by their instinctive affection for playing the music they love, and inspired by their boundless desire to continue honing their music prowess, Kolo & Dyze have established themselves as both accomplished DJs and budding producers, within a relatively short space of time. With their fun-loving personalities appositely complimenting their understanding and application to their music, this dynamic duo are portraying all the necessary hallmarks which should one day affirm their standing both behind the turntables and in the studio. Following the culmination of a successful 8 month residency at EGG Club’s monthly party ‘X‘ , Kolo & Dyze have since moved-onto become residents for London’s top after-hours movement ‘Dawn‘. Such an opportunity has seen the boys warm-up for the likes of MANIK, Neverdogs, Matt Tolfrey, Saytek LIVE, Denney, Chaim and Inxec, but they have also enjoyed numerous appearances in 2013 across some of London’s top venues, and beyond. Such appearances include Magna Carta’s 2nd Birthday Party at Great Suffolk Street warehouse, which saw the sprightly duo deliver a three hour warm-up set, before East End Dubs, Jordan Peak and Darius Syrossian took centre stage, a debut appearance at Sankeys Ibiza earlier this summer and Basing House last month, and a return to Warehouse London alongside Danny Daze, Daniel Avery and East End Dubs. And with their debut EP due for release in early 2014, on one of our favourite labels ‘Cubism‘, who will be celebrating 5 years in operation and over 60 releases, at their bi-annual Fabric residency later this month, everyone at Guerilla Agency is increasingly confident that having worked with the pairing for over 18 months, this is just the beginning of a long and prosperous future for both Kolo & Dyze..
