DIETER (Sub.fm)
Appearing weekly for more than five years on sub.fm, ROKO has become a key protagonist for sub-bass addicts in the German capital. Under various aliases he has done club nights at Horst Kreuzberg with Hotflush label head Scuba, promoted the Shlomp nights at St Georg in Berlin as well as a club night in his former home London, and recently supported Juan Atkins at Tresor. For this intimate night at Base Ment he pulls out his DIETER alias, revealing his roots with a set of blazing garage.
Boska (Permanent Vacation, Studio Barnhus, Love OD)
Boska started producing sparse UK influenced house in Norway's infamous techno capital Tromsø, taken out of the music studies and into the city's night clubs by local DJs and promoters. A participant at Red Bull Music Academy's 2011 edition in Madrid, Boska collaborated with amongst others Nguzunguzu's Asma Maroof. He has since released three EPs of bassy yet pretty house on Love OD Communications, as well as a bouncy analogue jam on Stockholm's Studio Barnhus label entitled British Funk Museum Article no. 808, which was played by Julio Bashmore on his BBC Radio 1 show. This October he released an EP for Munich's Permanent Vacation label entitled Submarine which has become a favorite of left-field house heroes like Axel Boman and John Talabot.
Holy Roman
Being the electronic part of Czech pop outfit Fiordmoss, and appearing onstage with Boska's live show, Roman Přikryl started his musical career as a teenager DJ'ing drum'n'bass. Since his apartment burned down with his vinyl collection still in it, he has focused on playing instruments and producing music. His origins can however no longer remain hidden, and since relocating to Berlin in 2012, Roman has gradually picked up the old trade of peddling bass to the unsuspecting, mixing contemporary UK influences with techno.
