Various Vegetables 18

  • Guess what, It’s VegTime again. We’ve been busy little VegBees with our Radioshow on Future Music since the last party, but we are back now to celebrate the last sprouts and salads of 2013. For our next vegsplosion, one we bring over two artists from the UK to heat up the dancefloor - Odan and Volitune who’ll bring the acid bass. We’re super happy to have them over, something we’ve been planning a long time. To finish off in a proper radical way for the year, we thought it a good idea to blast all your bad feelings away with a smashing "in yo damn face" liveset by Diasiva. Expect some dark and heavy D&B inspired mayhem. Our ambient floor will be thoroughly populated by VegLords and our good chum Amber126 to soothe your earlobes with clicks and synths. VEG4LYFE -- ODAN has been on the Various Vegetables radar for quite some time with a number of slamming releases to date. His sounds are predominately acid-influenced with intense and quirky melodies and processing. Expect heavy 808s, chopped breakbeats and that good old squelch bass to drive the rave cave. Check out his most recent release on Clockwave Records for a sampler of what to expect. http://recordshop.clockwaverecords.com/album/odan-ep -- VOLITUNE is a long-standing VegFriend who blend genres such as Acid house, Techno, Braindance, Big Beat and Disco with shimmering melodies and an old skool sound which craft his own sound in the process. Inspired by funk, his work often contains big melodies and wide ranges of emotions. Tasty Stuff. http://www.volitune.com/ https://soundcloud.com/volitune -- DIASIVA is the collective efforts of Mads Lindgren (Monolog) and Simon Hayes (Swarm Intelligence). The duo combine a love for obscene, high-octane sound and ten-tonne sub. Joining the crazy electronica and obsessive drum’n'bass of Monolog with Swarm Intelligence’s adventures in dense noise and glitch, Diasiva sees both musicians focus on the dancefloor, the bass and the grittiness. Their fist show was a bodily, exhilarating (and loud) experience. We certainly do not expect less this time around. here is an insightful interview over at the ableton homepage (together with Rory St. John): https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/make-noise-diasiva-rory-st-john/ https://soundcloud.com/diasiva -- AMBER126, a good friend of the veggie crew and a man with expert knowledge and taste in electronic and psychedelic music, Amber126 is the right man to fill our ambient room with inspiring sound waves while it gets incredibly dirty in our rave cave downstairs. -- The Veggie Crew will join in before, after, during, meanwhile, in between and cross-ways to kick out the jamz and massage your brain with beats. xx Sincerely, VegLords
