WHERE HAVE WE BEEN?
It's been a strange couple of months has it not - - awfully quiet on the FB and over the email lines. The Deep North has been very busy despite our seemingly small number of events.... trust us when we say we are not resting, but rather giving you, the party goer, a slight reprieve from our heavy party schedule.
October was a busy month for us, as we prepare to Launch DNR.... aka DEEP NORTH RECORDS .... a VINYL & DIGITAL music label based out of Toronto, Canada - - an extension of the DEEP NORTH collective known for our parties and DJ / Production crew. The label has a focus on putting out QUALITY House and Techno that is Timeless and not flavoured by the spice of the month, but rather recepies both home made and imported which will stand the test of time. The lineup is heavy, and the tunes are amazing - - ands we have a feeling you will like them too. More info on that shorty..... But for now, the focus is on LATE & DEEP #33.
AFTER 1 LONG MONTH without a L&D event, we have decided to come back with a heavy hitter well known in the Worlds Techno/House scene.... a Man who has released on insane labels such as POKERFLAT, REAL TONE, GET PHYSICAL, THOUGHTLESS, TEAM, VIVA, OPOSSUM and who has recently signed to the prestegious THIRD EAR.
We are more than excited to welcome our friend ALLAND BYALLO (BERLIN), head honcho of BAD ANIMAL RECORDS, funny man and dancefloor killer. It's been a long time that we at the Deep North have been fans of Mr. Byallo, and it is with great pleasure that we finallly get to see him play with us in Toronto.

We also want to welcome back the headliner of LATE & DEEP #7, a pillar in Toronto's House and Techno scene, a source of inspiration for us all and valuable mentor. BASIC SOUL UNIT has been tearing it up as of lately (always..) and as is well known, represents some of the baddest labels in the game such as OSGUT TON, DOLLY, CREME ORGANIZATION, STILL MUSIC, NONPLUS, SNUFF TRAX, and his newly established LAB.OUR imprint which he started with another top notch DJ from the City Jason Ulrich. A Good friend of Allands and of the Deep North, we are stoked to have these two legends in the making play together on the same night!
>> Thas is not all, because this one is special for the sole reason that we are welcoming back home (for a visit only) one of our original 12 memebers MIKE DAVIS (Berlin), aka MDVS - - who now lives in Berlin where he has had a big year signing to Slow Pitch records amond others. We are stoked to see Mikes growth as a DJ, because he was already sick when he left us a year - - nearly two - - ago.
