  • We're launching our brand new club night @ Scala with an enviable lineup by anyone’s standards. From 10pm to 5am it'll be an evening of the sickest possible dance music across three rooms, encompassing the very best in house, electro, breaks, techno and even a bit of filthy funk. In ROOM ONE we've lined up legendary Ivor Novello nominees Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges, best known as BODYROX, to headline the Main Room and rock the dance floor with their unique electro style! Having produced the biggest electro record of the 2006 Miami Winter Music Conference, Bodyrox's 'Yeah Yeah' went on to become 'THE' club anthem of that year. Regularly DJing all over the UK & Europe Jon & Nick are two of the most talented and in-demand producers around. With a rapidly growing UK & International fan base, both have enjoyed huge success as solo producers and with previous partnerships, but it’s now, through their own Juki Records imprint, that the pair are enjoying ever bigger acclaim. At Miami this year the guys were destroying dance floors alongside the likes of Fedde Le Grand so it’s sure to be a set not to be missed. Also smashing up the Main Room will be DEKKER, whose trademark sets are best summed up as sounding like a Hip Hop DJ with his record box stolen and replaced by a load of super fresh electronic cuts from across the spectrum. He’s taken his style to Fabric, Bugged Out!, AITBF, Turnmills, Egg, and tons of other clubs in the UK, Berlin, Moscow, New York and Paris, and festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Brighton City, etc. Not forgetting his residency in the main room at Sankeys in Manchester – probably the best club north of London - now in its second year AND if that wasn't enough for you his Live minimix at Fabric was picked as April's mix of the month. Watch out for DEKKER & Johan cuts about to drop. Alongside him are the genius that are ORTZROKA, a name you can’t have failed to miss since it's graced the pages of pretty much every dance magazine in the last six months. Fusing together everything from jump up, to house to filthy techno, the spontaneity of this duo never fails to amaze a crowd. Heralded by the dance press and influential media such as Fluokids (who described them as "half mental techno, half down tempo mint and water"), Channel 4 Music, and Popjustice, ORTZROKA have received huge support from musician and DJ folk as varied as Busy P, New Young Pony Club, Laurent Garnier, Erol Alkan, Justin Robertson, Ewan Pearson, Prins Thomas, Rob Da Bank, People Are Germs and Ivan Smagghe. Having recently supported Midnight Juggernauts and Pin Me Down (Bloc Party's Russell Lissack's new band) with their live show and DJ sets at Vice, Apocalypso and Magazine, ORTZROKA have been tipped by DJ Magazine as artists to most likely have "Major Impact in 2008" alongside Booka Shade, Moby and Deadmau5" If this wasn't enough their remixes for Simian Mobile Disco, NME faves Peter, Bjorn & John, Robyn, Bloc Party, and Robyn have afforded them the kind of acclaim that most young artists can only dream of. In ROOM TWO we have Ubersessions which is headed up by someone who really needs no introduction. NICKY HOLLOWAY is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern day Ibiza. After a holiday with Danny Rampling and Paul Oakenfold in ’87 he never looked back. He'll be headlining what is sure to be an epic room of the best house music imaginable. Joining Nicky will be DJ LUCCI of Manumission fame, DAVE ZAF and LITTLE ANDY. A room full of such experience and musical technique really needs no further explaining. A true heaven for anyone who has ever fallen in love with the Ibiza scene. ROOM THREE will be hosted by FILTHY FEW, possibly one of the hottest clubs in east London right now, and they’re not just our words but that of Time Out & The Guardian. Firas is the sort of person that'll take the dance floor, tear it a new arse hole and then put it back again with a kiss and a smile. While many rely on computer programmes to mix music, FIRAS is a seasoned pro having played all over the world alongside the likes of Mylo, Seb Fontaine, Yousef, Masters at Work, Annie Mac, DJ Touch, Late of the Pier & Filthy Dukes. He's a man slowly cementing a solid reputation for himself with gigs at Kill Em All, Bestival, Fiesta, Threads and Romp playing ass shaking, belly busting electronic music. On the flip side, his FILTHY FEW podcasts have become near-legendary for being the first stop in finding new top new acts and artists. He's the man that brought the likes of Cajun Dance Party, Late of the Pier, Crystal Castles & Florence & The Machine to his audience’s attention a good 2 years before anyone had really heard of them. His Filthy Few Live events are revered in the same way and bestowed with the honour of being named one of the Top 5 Club Nights in London. Not bad considering it's free to get into and it was ranked up alongside The End and Fabric. Beware. The Filthy Few are growing in number and we couldn't be happier to have them with us for our launch.
