Minimal Force Records Showcase

  • Minimal Force proudly presents some of our best artists! The music providers are: -Theo Komp- Theo Komp was born and raised in Greece in a family where music was highly appreciated and he was exposed to a few talented musicians. He soon realised a profound interest for electronic music. Over the years, he experimented with different kinds and aspects of music, song writing, production, recording, sound design, mixing and mastering. He started producing music in 2006 and it was then when he enrolled in Berklee College of Music. In 2010, he moved to London. Since then he has performed in many venues like: Egg, Nomad, Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Rhythm Factory to mention but a few, he has been releasing his music in labels like Keep Out Recordings, Mind Ability, Deep Records and Solid Tracks Records and has scheduled releases for labels like Frequenza. Nowadays Theo is the main man behind Minimal Force Records. -Gabriel Amaru- There aren’t many electronic musicians around like this guy, so knowledgeable and yet so unprejudiced and passionate about music. Constantly nurturing and feeding a lifelong love of sound, Gabriel amaru lives for music. His interpretation of electronic music effortlessly fuses organic melodies, sometimes surreal snippets of sound with a feel good, pumping 4/4 beat. And for someone made from 100% West Coast G-Funk material in his wild teenage years, Gabriel amaru is nowadays a lot broader in his musical tastes. He sounds fresh and exciting, just as a human would... “It’s all about the music and it’s always been that way...” he says as laidback and as playful as he’s always been. -Sub Secret- Like a lot of good things it all started in a basement. A series of parties hidden away underground in the heart of London.....hence Sub Secret. A duo who's mix of beautiful cinematic melodies and dark driving techno has found a grateful audience around the world as well as in their London home. Since their inception in 2007 few have seen the faces of the duo but their distinctive presence has be felt by many of London's regular party goers. Firm believers that the audience listen with more than just their ears and becoming bored of seeing the same facedown DJ's, standing behind the desks and "maybe"' once in a while would look up at the crowd, the duo have taken on their masked "Sub Secret" Alter egos whenever they play. Friends from University Stephen Fewings & Mark Standerline decided to start sharing with the world their common love of big melodies and driving basslines through their productions. With their first tracks 5AM and Schizo'clock getting the attention of CodeKontrol Crew and being released as their first EP "Para la Manana" on Mind Abilitry Records. Sub Secret are ceaselessly working and endlessly innovating. When not in the studio writing original material or remixing tracks they can be found out playing parties around Europe or more recently taking care of the running of Mind Ability Records. Sub Secret creations oscillate from breath taking deep techno runs like “Rambo” or “Side Clap” to heart ripping melodic trips, such as “Wir Schauten Nicht” and "Only the Beginning". Their vision, passion, and love of music continues to drive Sub Secret — and the extended Mind Ability Team — in all that they continue to do. -Red Pig Flower- Red Pig Flower is a London and Berlin based DJ, producer and artist. She started her career as a professional DJ at club Rooty (Tokyo) and Air (seoul), and sizzled up the dance floor with a tribal beat in an impressive style. From 2009, she became more well known as a party guest DJ and organizer, working with artists such as House Rules (Korea) and Capsule, Hico and Towa Tei (Japan). She became an outreach DJ for the Pacemaker product and in 2010 became sponsored by the Samick Innovative Music System, a Korean branch of Native Instruments. However, Red piG floweR’s most extraordinary skill is her habit of getting peoples’ hearts racing with tribal beats and cooling the steam off with upbeat techno sets. However from 2010 she moved to London to continue to explore new beats and grooves, with endless passion and experience of searching new sounds and environments. Now her set is more experimental and interesting with variety of tribal beat and experimental sounds by Ableton Live. She also tries to put more notion of sound art in her set, trying furthermore to combine her art and music together to draw people inside of more unusual atmosphere. She now makes her self busy to organiging events around East London and flying back and forth between London, Berlin and other Europian countries.. It is worth keeping on eye on her challenge to make new sounds and art. -Frazer Campbell- Frazer is co founder of London based event 'OPEN' which he runs with his brother Anthony Campbell. 2013 witnessed the launch of 'OPEN' bringing well respected djs and producers from around the world to play at the parties and also on the brothers weekly radio show on Hoxton FM. The 'OPEN' stamp has made a big impact on London's scene and has already gained recognition from WYS (Wetyourself) Fabric London where the brothers will make their debut in March this year. Studio work in 2013 saw Frazer releasing on a collection of labels from around the world as far as Columbia with a total of 18 tracks collated onto a group of various EP's and VA's on labels like Woo.Ble, Low to High and SecondStep to name a few. The tracks have had support from fantastic artists globally. Releases for 2014 are already well underway with signings to Household, Kanja, Woo.Ble and Deep Square Records which include remixes for various established artists. The year ahead looks like it is going to be darn busy, full of new releases and exciting gigs in London and possibly abroad. Frazer has recently built a new studio and is experimenting with lots of analogue equipment……his sound is unique, minimal and always thought emoting…'music that makes you think' -Willers Brothers- 2012 heralded the arrival of The Willers Brothers on to London's club scene. The ambitious siblings grew up in the thriving northern city of Manchester but now live and work together in the capital, quickly progressing from mixing mp3s in their modest lounge to some of the South's biggest events. Their lounge is now packed with high-end kit and looks more like a professional studio than a cosy living space allowing them not only to hone their skills but also produce their own tracks. From a musical family and devoted to Tech House, Techno and Minimal the duo draw their influences from the likes of Marco Carola, Richie Hartin and Carlo Lio and all it took was a summer on the White Isle of Ibiza to set the Boys on their chosen path. The hours put in on the home decks soon started to pay dividends and the Brothers quickly found them selves having to re-arrange their lives to meet their ever growing DJ commitments. The Willers Brothers are currently resident at: Egg London, DC7, Entail and Retouch and are regulars on Hoxton FM . They have also started to receive attention from Europe and further afield following their success headlining Houseland at Dance Club U Kolji and Yes Club in the Czech Republic. Their home studio and relentless work ethic has unsurprisingly resulted in more than a few fledgling tracks and commercially available mixes which are receiving interest in their own right and it won't be long before the first of these new tracks is released on Ultradrum Records and having their first EP just released on 3 Desires showing support from Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin and Cristian Varela Recently their diary has been full of sets at well known venues like EGG, Fire, Lightbox,Pacha,The Warehouse, Rhythm Factory and Covert as well as playing on nights such as Supernova, Entail, Dc7, What Matters, Bodymove, X Project and Retouch also running the in house nights The Willers Brothers Present and NuBreed at EGG. With their success not looking to slow down and having already supported the likes of Dubfire, Carlo Lio,Marco Bailey,M.A.N.D.Y, Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Sebatein Leger and Derrick Carter to name a few ,things are looking good for the audacious duo. -Paul Baker- The Orchid EP - UNT! Growing up listening to an eclectic range of musical styles and sounds inspired by his family's love for music, Joe has always had a strong interest in the music industry. With influences from an array of genres varying from Hard Rock to Hip Hop his enthusiasm and dedication to producing quality tracks has led Joe to getting music signed to respected labels within the electronic music scene. Towards the end of 2012, Joe took a short trip to Amsterdam for the annual ADE. Not only was it an exciting place to be, it was also inspiring. The highlight for Joe was attending the Bla Bla Daytime Madness party which had a whole host of talent being showcased including Daniel Sanchez, Pig & Dan, Mauro Picotto, Technasia & Kink. After returning home, the next year has passed and while playing many live sets has taken a back seat, Joe has used this inspiration and spare time to work hard on his productions. Fast forward to October 2013 and Joe is returning to the ADE with his very own music signed to Bla Bla - a label he has followed since the start, purely for the quality release schedule of the label & the artists it attracts. Joe's track 'Yellow Throat' will feature on the Bla Bla ADE Sampler released in October, as well as his 'First Contact' EP being release on the label in November along with huge remixes from Deepshakerz, Arjun Vagale and Tekart. Also in November, Joe has a 2 track EP set to be released on the legendary Bush Records. This will feature remixes from both Tekart & Gabriel Ben. So far so good for Joe, now to enjoy his winter release schedule and look forward to even bigger releases throughout 2014, cementing his name as a reputable artist and one to keep an eye on.
