Secretsundaze join Polka on Sunday the 1st of June for a celebration under the summer sun.
Secretsundaze, is a project that needs no introduction. Giles Smith and James Priestley's parties have grown into an international brand holding down stages at festivals such as Sonar, Unknown and Eastern Electrics, and hosting nights in Berlin, Ibiza and New York. Their thriving Secretsundaze label has gained widespread recognition presenting releases from artists including Flori, Youandewan, and Brawther. Now Polka welcomes them to Liverpool alongside the dynamic new talent of Dan Shake and Anthony Naples.
Anthony Naples:
Few artists manage to convincingly produce both rough-hewn techno and sweetly melodic slow-burners, let alone successfully intertwine those distant aesthetics into nearly every track as does Anthony Naples. Backing up a brashly debut for Mister Saturday Night with acclaimed releases for Rubadub, The Trilogy Tapes and his own imprint Proibito in just over a year, he has become one of the most notable young producers in electronic music recently.
All this is cradled in the capable hands of guest residents, local boys, and long standing MuMu residents Henry Street Social, alongside the Polka residents Harry Sheehan, Mogadishu and Orfan, there to spin you safely into summer through a solid 14 hours of music.
