After two big shows this year and a wealth of special guests like Leroy Roberts, Isherwood, Dan Andrei, Ion Ludwig and Rhadoo we're back for a summer series at everybody's favourite venue, The Magnet.
Get Magnetized! offers up a series of artists in keeping with our underground outlook but set up in the more intimate, unique surroundings of everybody's favourite basement.

For the first summer outing, Sam Russo of Air London and Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom Records will be making his way up from the capital for a three hour set to get to grips with his unique infusion of groovy 'off-centre' house and minimal techno.
The producer and DJ recently played a b2b performance on 22nd March with a leviathan, ever present feature of all things Fabric, Craig Richards and has another upcoming date in room two on 31st May.
In the studio, Sam has underpinned an early outlook of groove laiden releases on Leftroom and Off Recordings by leaning towards to a more techier end of the sonic spectrum in recent times, putting a further nine releases under his belt in 2013. Having released on Fear of Flying, remixed tracks such as Leon's 'Power of Dreams' on VIVa Music alongside numerous collabs with Huxley including the new 'Don't Undastand EP' - this is a young DJ on the up with the promise of a record bag filled with huge beats for the basement at Get Magnetized! in May.

We've had the pleasure of attending some amazing parties in the basement of Liverpool's original club over the years, one which has been open in various forms since 1958.
It was the first 'black music' venue in the 1960's, played host to the likes of Queen & Oasis and was the city's epicentre for Mod culture with the rise of Northern Soul 'all nighters', believed to be the origins of modern club culture in the early 80's. We continue on that note in a space which has welcomed a host of dance music aficionados through it's doors over the years like Derek Carter, Terry Francis, Mr C, Nick Hoppner & Matt Tolfrey...
After two years of being closed, come back for a glimpse of the crimson interior, mirrorball and classic magnet vibe.
