We're excited to announce that Benin City will be playing a 3 date residency at The Social next month. Benin City released their first album, "Fires In the Park", in 2013 to critical acclaim and tips for a Mercury award. 2014 has seen them building on the foundations laid by the album and a growing reputation as one of the UK's most exciting live acts. Frontman, Joshua Idehen, saxophonist, Tom Leaper and drummer, Liam Waugh, flit from the super-charged energy of Faithless to the profound emotion of Baby whilst peppering the show with a healthy dose of humour. The band are due to release an EP in June and, thanks to support from PRS for Music Foundation, will be touring the UK throughout the rest of the year.
