  • “Room2Move” is the brainchild of up and coming London promoter John McGeehan, with the sole aim of promoting quality, underground deep, tech and progressive house music to a clued-up audience. The motto “House Music the THINKS Outside the Box” is very much a nod to more interesting, underground house and tech sounds- always shying well away from the mainstream. John’s background is unusual for most promoters in the game these days- he’s not a musician or from a musical background but his keen knowledge of dance music, the clubs and most importantly- the people, more than makes up for it. John decided to start Room2Move as his way of giving something back to the scene that has given him so much enjoyment over the last 2 decades and approached good friend and talented DJ/producer Anthony Yarranton to be his party’s resident since Room2Move’s inception in 2011. Anthony has been DJ’ing since his late teens and began producing professionally in 2010 with his early and more melodic releases being signed to famous labels such as Armada and Baroque. Anthony’s music has more recently evolved into a deeper, soulful style, which has led to key signings to the likes of Alola Records, Axon Recordings, Bonzai Progressive, Particles and Proton Music and championed by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Paul Oakenfold and Omid 16b. In addition to many UK and international gigs, Anthony has recently kicked off a new radio show on Proton Radio for Room2Move, which airs the forth Monday of each month at 7pm (US EDT)/ Midnight (UK BST) Room2Move has now secured dates for two summer club parties and is continuing their love with south London, securing Arch 635 under Clapham High Street station. John McGeehan has added a new resident to Room2Move, in the form of Irish Dj/Producer John O’Connor. O’Connor’s background brings added value in the form of musical talent which sees a number of releases out on Stripped Digital and Mirabilis Records, with support from the like of John Digweed, Richie Hawtin, and Maceo Plex, along with more to come on Asymmetric recordings and We Are Here Music. John is one of Ireland’s top Dj’s and a household name in his homeland, which has led him to go to support and play alongside some of the worlds biggest artists like Guy J, Tom Middleton Guy Mantzur and Psycatron at clubs/festivals in Ireland, the UK and further afield. O’Connor also promoted a successful club night of his own for a number of years in his native Ireland, namely “Alive”, and recently moved to London to explore new opportunities. Saturday 26th July sees the first of Room2Move’s summer parties at Arch 635 in south London’s Clapham, with the first lady of house music LOTTIE headlining the main arch with support coming from Room2Move’s two residents Anthony Yarranton and John O’Connor, who will make his residency debut. Lottie’s career in the club scene is immense to say the least with her inspiration stemming from her teenage years at the legendary Haçienda in Manchester. She got her decks age 17, practiced for years in her bedroom and began playing out on her local scene. By her twenties, Lottie had established herself firmly on the European club circuit and moved down to London in 1993, getting her big break at Turnmills with a weekly residency. She went on to guest at a phenomenal amount of underground clubs across the world. A groundbreaking “Essential Mix” on Radio 1 then made her one of the world’s most sought after DJ’s. Recent work includes her “Geisha” project with fellow female DJ Suze Rosser and has an international residency for Jade Jagger’s “Jezabel” parties. Lottie is also an accomplished producer. In the bar, the theme is a more chilled house and nu-disco sound. Jon Hearn, aka JAYESS, is a well-known figure particularly in Ibiza, where he held a residency for a number of years at the infamous “Manumission” party and more recently at Ushuaia Beach Club at Sasha’s “Never Say Never” party. In the UK, Jayess is best known for playing at Renaissance and more recently has started his own night “You Are Gifted” at clubs in London and his hometown of Brighton. Production wise, he’s released a number of tracks with studio partner Ed Lee, has remixed the likes of Jam & Spoon and Blue Amazon and is currently working on new material with new studio partner Natalie Data. Jayess also hosts two popular shows on “Innervisions “ and “Groundwork” Radio. Joining Jayess will be Italian-born Pippo Ciretti, aka Usul. His sound is influenced by very different genres; his sets always have a very distinctive sound made of deep bass lines, sensual melodies and twisted flavours. Usul is working on a number of club and studio projects, most notably as with past Room2Move guest Ashley Casselle and has released music on underground label, Eclesia. Arch 635 is located right underneath the railway arches off Clapham High St, 1 min walk from Clapham High St Overground and Clapham North tube..
