HOLIC: Good ole London-specialist in true and blue House music hits the breezy shores of Hackney Wick for a midsummer jam. With skirts as short as the days are long, it's time once-more to bask in the abundant dancefloor energy that is brought down by the rays of the sun.
LOCATION: The fidgety footwear is to be found in intimacy at The Yard Theatre, two mins from the station and right across from the Crate Brewery pizza department. Abundant smoking section beneath the stars, a good soundsystem and real nice beers for the palate.
MUSIC: This edition sees RAUDIVE welcomed to the family. Almost a decade deep in the game, his brand of atmospheric yet groovy twilight-techno takes the stage. Boundary pusher with wayfaring sets as well as an eccentric character behind the beats. Oliver Ho's the name. Next, the ringleader is of course Tomoki Tamura, founder of HOLIC TRAX, serious club-beeswax. Equally exciting however, are a few young-guns still building their buzz in the London underground. Young Japanese producer TEMMA-Teje for example, brings a dark rhythmic humidity to his sets……. whilst danny. of hearty upstarts Bushes and Good Genes family always manages to slip in a cheeky disco-finger to really quite delightful levels of satisfaction……. as Baslow flies in from Berlin to deliver that sweaty, reliable, cosmic sex-fuelled funk wam-bam to your door, in UPS shorts, every time. Fun for all the family.
