Complicit is an exploration of modern techno, one fueled by the combined creative force of Tanya and Travis Norman. Tastemakers. Musicians. DJ's. Sound designers. Proponents of that classic and pure spirit of the underground - where an element of risk and a common desire can draw a dance floor together into a shared experience, each member aware of their 'complicity' in creating the reality of the night. Based out of Minneapolis and now making frequent trips throughout the US, the pair have steadily built a reputation for high energy performances (both DJ & LIVE PA) that leave fans ecstatically wondering what hit them and eager for more. The past 5 years of collaboration have seen them release well received EP's and remixes on Aerotek, JQM, Innerflight, and Subspec, and they show no sign of slowing down in 2014. They also have a scheduled release in early 2015 on Vancouver's Eternal Drive Recordings.

The duo have forged a compositional style thick with substantial lows, layered with subtle melodic and percussive gestures, and full of dance floor appeal. Dark and moody, heavy and hypnotic, and always seeking balance - between technical complexity and musical simplicity, aggression and elegance, raw and refined, male and female - their sound reflects a shared passion for investing in the process, for embracing an ever evolving workflow, and for delivering results that make an impact. To attend a Complicit event is to enter an auditory landscape whose real time system-sharing symbiosis reflects a balancing act of duties divided by frequency range: with one rolling out deep bass and drums as the other cuts through with sharp synths and evocative upper register atmospherics. Since the pair are able to deploy a diverse array of sonic concepts, from mellow and dubby to full throttle peak time, promoters know they can put Complicit on in any room!
