Play is a new monthly night from the creators of Space LDN. It will fuse Live and Electronic music with DJ’s and performers set in an adult playground.
With PLAY you can expect the wild party atmosphere you can only experience with Space people - a slightly more sophisticated crowd who love Music, who love one off events and love getting together in big groups of friends and making any venue their playground for one night.
Live music will kick the night off at 9pm and will continues until the DJs take over at midnight turning the Lanes into the best adult playground and club night in London split over two floors and six rooms.
Aside from live music, this epic event also features DJ’s, eight blowing lanes, karaoke, ping-pong, table football, virtual cricket, pool tables, arcades, food and much much more! Expect an array of entertainment from room to room, as you'll never know what you will discover next.

Bodyrox (Nick Bridges)
Nominated for an MTV VMA, two IDMA's and an Ivor Novello Award, Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges aka Bodyrox are no strangers to the red carpet. Having both enjoyed huge success as solo producers, it is more recently as Bodyrox where the pair are enjoying new-found success and attracting a new legion of fans.
Having worked together since 2004, Bodyrox gained Worldwide recognition with ‘Yeah Yeah’ - one of the ‘biggest Global hits in electronic dance music’ [Pete Tong] which took the World by storm ‘filling every record box under the sun’ [Pete Tong].
Supplemented by a unique vocal from Luciana and award winning video, ‘Yeah Yeah’ became one of this decades biggest international club anthems kicking starting the global ‘Nu Rave’ movement debuting at no.2 in the UK Top 40 and charting in over 30 countries Worldwide.
Riding a massive wave of success, Bodyrox were nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and went on to top both Music Week’s Cool Cuts and the DMC Buzz Chart again with their next four consecutive singles, receiving nominations and awards at the International Dance Music Awards and MTV’s Video Music Awards.
In 2010, they achieved their 2nd UK Top 10 featuring one of the UK’s biggest urban groups, N-Dubz - entering the UK chart at No.6 followed by another huge club record, ‘Bow Wow Wow’ topping Music Week’s club and pop chart once again.
Recently branded a ‘Supergroup’ by Pete Tong during their debut on Radio One’s Essential Mix, Bodyrox remain one of the top most viewed ‘electro bands’ in the World with over 10 million views on YouTube and millions more across their social media networks.
While the global success of Bodyrox cannot be ignored, their solo achievements are just as impressive. Jon Pearn first burst onto the scene as one half of Full Intention. With their remix of Duke’s ‘So In Love With You’, Jon and Full Intention partner Michael Grey went on to become one of the most celebrated British remix duos of their time earning them a prestigious Grammy nomination. Currently enjoying a huge resurgence, Full Intention have recently released a catalogue of deep house killers earning them a new generation of fans.
Nick Bridges
Nick Bridges is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted DJ’s in the World with past residencies at Fabric London [DJ Magazines No.1 Club in the World] for DTPM, Amnesia Ibiza and Ministry of Sound London - a residency that saw Nick mix eight compilations throughout a long-standing association with the brand that continues today. Nicks solo productions have been supported by some of the biggest DJs in the World and is currently producing for some of the hottest urban artists in the UK
Finley Quaye
I am a grandson of vaudeville pianist Caleb Quaye. Brother of noted guitarist, Caleb Quaye and afro-jazz musician Terri Quaye. I am related to Tricky and also to Femi Kuti. I left school with no qualifications. Before making records I took employment painting cars, smoking fish, making
futons and as a stage-rigger and scaffolder. I worked on stages for Jean Michel Jarre at Maine Road, Manchester and Take That at GMEX. I did the Shaolin Monks at London Arena too. That’s really where I learned about putting a show on the road, where I learned the production side.
I was inspired early on in my childhood by jazz-musicians, Pete King and Ronnie Scott and Lionel Hampton. Additionally, Duke Ellington was and remains my godfather. I first heard jazz as a child living in London with my mother who would take me with her regularly to Ronnie Scott’s jazz club catching very rare performances of American jazz musicians touring Europe such as Buddy Rich who recorded his live album there in 1980. My debut gig with my band was at Ronnie Scott's in London. I first worked with A Guy Called Gerald in Manchester when I was 18 or 19. We kept a working relationship going up until now and have worked together all over the world.
Music is very much in the blood. My reputation established by Maverick A Strike, an adventurous but accessible album released in September 1997. Two more albums were released on Epic, Vanguard and Much More Than Much Love. In 2004 the song "Dice", in collaboration with William Orbit, and featuring Beth Orton was a minor hit, helped in part by its inclusion on The O.C. soundtrack. Currently living in London, I lived and worked in Berlin between 2004 and early 2007.
I am currently signed to Sakifo Records based in Reunion, France. The band has supported Julian Marley, James Brown, Ken Boothe, Lee Scratch Perry, Luciano, UK Subs, Weller,Madness, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, The Verve, Ben Harper, Fun Loving Criminals, Robbie Williams & The Stereo MCs. I have recorded with my brother Caleb Quaye, with A Guy Called Gerald, The Stereo Mcs, Shy FX, Campag Velocet, Chubb Rock, Carlos Bess, Dizzy Q Viper, Cathy Claret, Marlon Roudette, Marlon Bois, Beth Orton, William Orbit, John Leckie, Ernest
Ranglin, Monty Alexander, Iggy Pop, Tricky, Primal Scream, Prince Hammer, Sly Dunbar and Buju Banton. Amy Winehouse supported at Shepherds Bush Empire in 2003, Cath Coffey was support on UK tour and more recently Martha Tilston, supported at the Jazz Café in London.
Maverick A Strike exploded onto the world scene in 1997, Vanguard was released 2000 and Much More in 2004. The Best Of The Epic Years was released in 2008.
Unfortunately the industry doesn’t much care for those with a mind of their own; and whilst I have continued to be prolific, sitting as I do on a mountain of exquisite but unreleased songs, the shallow world of pop has become more enamoured with the X Factor instant hit and instant cash reward, than true talent. Thankfully this looks set to change with the promise of my music once more finding itself promoted in the manner it deserves.

On Friday 17th October Play is honoured to be hosting Finley Quaye and his band at the Bloomsbury Lanes. Show opens at 9pm with Finley on at 10pm. We can’t wait.
After the show there is an after-show party with DJ’s etc.
