  • DANIEL TRICKSKI is a DJ & production powerhouse out of Berlin that has subtly provided many-a-track in the bag of international underground DJs over the past decade and a half. His tracks have been included in world-renowned compilations such as Carl Craig’s Fabric 25 and even Grand Theft Auto V, while “Sunshine Fu*k” was used as Soundcloud’s soundtrack to their first video. It’s this kind of ‘in the shadows’ activity that has set DANIEL TRICKSKI apart as a musical wizard that is happy to just keep producing monsters that pound dance-floors all across the globe while he sits back and enjoys the view. Musically and as a DJ, he focuses on creating an atmosphere via his sounds that is heavy, foot-moving and above all fun. Real underground disco, New York house and highly unique and very rare selections are his weapons of choice. He uses each set as a stepping stone for his own growth as a master of making people move, and you can be sure that he’s going to take this opportunity to see what Saigon can throw at him. Get down for an upbeat night designed for dancing! BIOGRAPHY - DANIEL TRICKSKI There are those DJs who have found their sound. And then there are those who define their sound and their style anew with every gig they play. They read the crowd, the club, the situation, the sound system and the vibe. You never really know what they're gonna play, but you can bet they'll get the club to boil and burn when they arrive. Those DJ s are always looking for the fresh sound, the new stuff – and are thus not only reinventing and advancing themselves with each gig: they are pushing the frontier of music as a whole. Daniel Trickski has been one of the best and most coveted DJ's of the second kind for over 15 years. He effortlessly manages to be both an entertainer and a teacher – all the while staying true to his personal style and his unique taste. His sets can be disco edit, soul, or New York house influenced, and sometimes they can bang it properly. And even if every set is singularly designed for and tailored to each night, each club, each crowd: House is always the leitmotiv. Daniel Trickski has always had a passion for DJing – for the last ten years as part of the DJ and producer team Trickski. Together with Yannick Labbé, he has produced hits such as „Hormony“ as a first Compost Black Label, and „Sweat“ or „Sunshine Fuck“ for Sonar Kollektiv. „Sweat“ was immediately ennobled by Carl Craig on his Fabric 25 Compilation, and „Sunshine Fuck“ became famous as the soundtrack for Soundcloud's first Video. What a kickstart! After that, Trickski took to A&Ring the „Members of the Trick“ series – during which they signed and supported a certain Solomun in 2006. A Residency at Berlin's famous Cookies club was a logical consequence. At Cookies, Daniel & Yannick gave distinction to the sound of slow house in Berlin. The warm ups that Daniel Trickski played there became legendary; artists such as „Daniel Solar“ and „Genius of Time“ have credited Trickski's DJSets, on these nights and later, as a massive influence. After their time at Sonar Kollektiv, Trickski released at Future Classic from Australia, Solomun’s Label DIYnamic from Hamburg, Stilove4music from Chicago and Delusions of Grandeur from London, before they found a new home with Suol in 2010. After the iconic slow house hits „Pill Collins“, „Point 0“ and „The Warm Up“, Daniel began working with Soul Clap on Permanent Vacation from Munich. Trickski's debut album „Unreality“ featuring Ernesto, Irfan and Fritz Kalkbrenner, came out in 2011. They released six singles on Suol, and just recently, Trickski's „Beginning“ was licensed for the megagame „Grand Theft Auto V“. During his DJing Career, Daniel has really seen it all: from hosting parties at Club Waldsee in his BlackForresthometown Freiburg to operating an illegal club in an former school building in Berlin Mitte in the early 2000s, an open air in March on the tennis court of Milan's Villa Necchi with a crowd of 4.000, parties at a Japanese restaurant in Dhaka Bangladesh with some 40 ravers – all on MDMA, rooftop parties in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Andrew Weatherall’s birthday party – at which the legend himself insisted on playing the warm up for Daniel – or a fivehoursunriseset on the beach in front of 1500 people in Tulum, Mexico, at the closing of the Kater Holzig branch. Daniel has played or plays regularly in clubs such as the Watergate in Berlin, the Corsica Studios or Fabric in London, Ibiza's Pasha, 1500m2 in Warsaw, the Hive and Zukunft in Zurich, the Melt Festival, Goa in Madrid, the Showcase in Paris, the Electric Pickle in Miami, the Mystik in Seoul, the Lola in Shanghai, the AM Local in Mexico City or the Worldwide Festival in Singapore. In the last years, Daniel has earned himself a steady basis of followers in South Africa. All these experiences influence his sets – and make them singular and special. Now he's touring solo as Daniel Trickski, working on various projects (most of them still secrets) and still advancing music and clubbing by trying out the stuff that others will soon seek after.
