Phil Mison -Influenced by listening to legendary chill out DJ Jose Padilla, Phil started his DJ career at London’s Milk Bar in 1991, playing chilled Balearic warm up sets. A chance meeting there with Jose would lead to a two year residency at Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar, sound tracking a thousand sunsets with his vast collection of sun kissed records. It was his sets there that led him to play at Full Circle, Bugged Out and to become Leftfield’s tour DJ. His huge knowledge of the chill-out genre earned Mison a chance to put out his first compilation “Original Chill Out” in 1995. With its beatless, mood-friendly approach to mixing electronic music, it was something of a ground-breaking collection. Since then he has gone onto release a further 15 compilations, including 5 volumes of the hugely popular “Real Ibiza” series,”Soundcolors” and volume 6 of “Originals”. Phil also continues to DJ round the world from 39 hotel in Hawaii, “Green Sunset” in São Paulo, Music for Dancers in Los Angeles, Ku De Ta in Bali, Bestival and Aficionado to name but a few. “Cantoma”, Phil’s debut album under the Cantoma moniker was released in 2003 followed by “Out of Town” in 2010 (Leng Recordings). So far, Cantoma’s songs has been used on over 150 compilations and featured on various film and tv projects worldwide. Phil also records with Pete Herbert as Frontera and Reverso 68. Phil Mison’s third album will be out in June 2014 Leftside Wobble "Jonathan Moore, the man behind Leftside Wobble not only shares a name with the legendary Coldcut producer, but he's been involved with the underground dance scene for almost as long. Having started out at Paul Oakenfolds Project Club in the late 80's he went on to residencies at seminal house nights Solaris & Kinky Disco. The nineties & noughties so him at the helm of a series of memorable nights for Dazed & Confused magazine as well as regular appearances at the now sadly defunct Kings Cross establishments - The Cross, The Key & Canvas. In recent years he's better known for his productions, edits and reworks he puts out under the Leftside Wobble banner - his rework of The Beatles 'Tomorrow Never Knows' was recently picked by Greg Wilson in his 'best ever' selection of edits/reworks. And his electric approach to music production has seen him commissioned for remix work for a diverse set artists including The Temples, Detroit Swindle, Public Service Broadcasting, Ambient Jazz Ensemble and The Time & Space Machine. In 2015 he's launching a new record label that celebrates this eclectic approach to dance music called x-cursions. The first EP comes out in January and contains a classic Loleatta Holloway edit, an Ike & Tine Turner balearic soul rework, and an eighties style electro funk track (already being supported by a diverse set of DJ's including Bill Brewster, Chris Coco and Justin Robertson). His DJ sets celebrate that same dot joining approach to dance music and build coherently through house and disco sub genres but always with a deep-set balearic freestyle sensibility." Upstairs in the House Loft And.You is back at the Horse and Groom for what promises to be another great New Year's celebration. Following on strong from last year's instalment, we welcome the talented Producer/DJ TBoy (Outcross, Viva). Support will be provided by Get Physical's Stereo.type and up and coming DJ Katrinka fresh from releases on Berlin's Steyoyoke and Spirit Soul. Expect a night packed full of great music and great vibes. If last years celebrations are anything to go by this is one not to miss. TBoy (Outcross, Viva) Italian born, Antonio found his real home in London. Before developing his current sound he has spent years working in different recording studios in Italy for different radios and television channels. In London he had the opportunity to work with numerous artists and to develop his skills in music production.Among the highlights of 2012 his presence on both the Space Ibiza 2012 compilation mixed by MYNC & Edu Imbernon (with the remix of ‘Mantis’ by Los Suruba) as well as the Amnesia Ibiza Electronica mixed by Mar-T (with ‘Try Again’ Originally released on Neim Records). Also noteworthy of last year the track-collaboration ‘Denied’ with Wildkats released on Hot Waves vol.3 at the end of the summer. His most recent works have been released on Outcross Records (The People Lover U EP) with a remix of Miguel Campbell, two collaborations with Wildkats on Hive Audio and Smoke n’ Mirrors (respectively Whateva and Rock d Disco), a collaboration with Robbie Akbal on the Akbal Music Miami Sampler 2013 (‘Hi Sensei’) and an EP on Digital Delight (‘Move to the Left’). In August he had the pleasure to go and play for his first time at Burning Man 2013 alongside Tone of Arc, Waifs and Strays, Wildkats, Kreature and Ashley Wild, founder of the London based brand 'You Are We', hosted by the infamous Music Savages Camp (Los Angeles). At the beginning of 2014 TBoy will be performing for the second time at the BPM festival in Playa Del Carmen (Mexico) and will be releasing further more on Miguel Campbell's Outcross Records as well as an EP on Resonance Records alongside Scott Dickie (Wildkats) featuring Adeline, a remix for Hugo on his label Goodvibe Records and on a V/A for the project Fringe. All tracks of this latter V/A will contains samples recorded during the Torino Jazz Festival 2013 (Turin – Italy) as part of the Fringe project, an idea born out of the collaboration between Hugo and other names of the Italian music industry. He just released a track - Unchained - on VIVa Music for the VIVa warriors Vol 3 compilation mixed by miguel Campbell and Anek and will also have two brand new tracks coming out on the second release - Trip Wired EP - of the new label You Are We Music - 'Trip Wired' in collaboratin with Ashley Wild (You Are We) and 'Aura'. Stereo.type (Get Physical) -Stereo.Type formed in autumn 2012 after George Mahoney and Bryan Reynolds met the year before and immersed themselves in London’s electronic scene. After feeling their mutual love of music and unique talents had something different to offer to the circuit they started working together creatively. Their DJ/Production duo was born from George’s musical expertise studying classical music and music production, and a lifetime of playing the guitar. Bryan’s love of genres, from hip hop to disco to electronica, compliments this through his clever and intricate track choices. The result is a unique blend of deep and melodic tech house packed with emotion and groove. They can currently be found monthly at And.You in London. The pair has now been picked up by Get Physical Music with their debut release ‘Momento’ recently released. More material is currently in production. Katrinka (Spirit Soul, Steyoyoke) Having arrived in London in 2005, KatrinKa instantly immersed herself in the vibrant clubbing scene. So inspiring was London’s dance culture that she began to explore music production to bring her own captivating style of deep, emotive ‘house‘ to the masses. As a classically trained pianist, KatrinKa picked it up very easily and by late 2008 was already starting to produce not only her own tracks but jointly with other producers as well. Her work has already extracted interest from independent labels and generated airplay on stations such as Select UK Radio – a testament to her skill and unique style. As well as music production, Russian-born KatrinKa is already making waves in the DJ world, having appeared at clubs such as Lightbox, Light Bar, Elysium and Ministry of Sound to name just a few playing a variety of genres from deep house to techno as well as lounge, nu disco and tech house. With this kind of musical pedigree, it won’t be long before we will see KatrinKa performing her own tracks in the clubs of London and Europe and beyond.
