First up, massive thanks to everyone that made it down for our 4th birthday celebrations - What a fantastic night, amazing performances from all involved especially our headliner Da Fresh who said he cannot wait to come back and play again soon!
WERK pride ourselves on bringing you nights to remember and last month was no exception. The only trouble is we end up setting the bar so high, how do we top that...?
How about 2 massive headliners? One with a history that goes way back including one of the South West's most successful nights 'Koolwaters' and the other who is rapidly rising as one of the hottest new talents from Bristol, conquering the scene!
WERK are proud to present Marc Vedo AND Distro both of whom are ready to rock the party, put a smile on your face and a groove in your move!
Marc really needs no introduction, a staple part of the house scene for years with his own record label and booking agency now under his belt. This guy can count Boy George as one of his best mates and knows how to work the decks and the crowd into a frenzy. We are very excited to have Marc back for us again and so should you be.
The name Distro my not be as familiar but trust us when we say he soon will be! Originally from Birmingham and now based in Bristol, this lad is making waves and we're talking Tsunami sized ones. With his mix of UK Bass, Jackin House and funky beats we know he'll have you glued to the dance floor!

Marc Vedo bio:
Its fair to say that Marc Vedo has been a busy man in 2013! The summer schedule of 2013 saw over 40 dates throughout Europe that included his residency at super club Amnesia, Ibiza for the legendary La Troya, dates for Ultra Music Festivals around the world, Molo Stree Parade, Italy, Wave Festival, Belgium, Revellin Festival, Croatia plus many more amazing parties.
After the summer, Marc then took things state side, covering 16 cities in just 5 weeks with his touring pal and global icon Boy George, the tour was a huge success and smashed all the super clubs including Pacha New York and Exchange in LA.
Alongside his packed out diary, Marc has been busy in the studio with a total of 7 tracks in the Beatport Top 100 in the last 8 months and his Stealth Records EP “Freak Out reaching Top 10 on Beatport and remaining there for over 10 weeks. His music is supported by the likes of Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and Erick Morillo proving that his production is as strong as his international Touring schedule.
With the likes of Mixmag inviting Marc to join them in the hugely respected “DJ Hangout”, appearing on front cover of Tillate Magazine with the magazine quoting “Proper House Music- Marc Vedo leads the way”, DJ MAG signing him up as their world Tour resident and mixing 2 cover mount CD’s for the magazine and artists such as Roger Sanchez booking him to play at his Stealth Parties around the world, 2014 is looking like another incredible bumper year!
Distro bio:
Distro's music resides in that fervent middle ground between House, Garage, Dubstep and Funky. The territory in which Lorenzo carved out the now much publicized House & Bass sound, tempo-wise its strictly House but when you hear it in a club you can't help but wobble and skank. 2013 saw Distro's first release on Bear Fresh Records "City Lights" top the juno downloads chart with ease and become a bass-laced anthem of the summer gaining heavy support from the likes of ROSKA, MY NU LENG and MARCUS NASTY.
Later that year "City Lights" received the remix treatment from most notably TAIKI & NULIGHT, HYBRID THEORY and SKELECTA further solidifying the songs dominance that year. By March 2014 and the release of his "Thug Girl" EP for Roska's Kicks n Snares Distro was well and truly a staple of the UK Bass scene, a regular on the Bristol circuit, holding residencies with all the biggest nights in the south-west and collaborating with Bass-House kingpins MY NU LENG. Currently the man of the moment has just finished crafting his second EP that drops imminently on 887 Records.
