The Genius of Detroit is finally back at AIR, and ready to cast a new spell on the audience
“RÉMY:ÜSIC” produced by RÉMY MARTIN VSOP - who have just released a new bottle design with a modified version of their powerful logo featuring a centaur inside a gold medal - will hold its year-end celebration event at AIR. The main act of this music-based yet also far-reaching and versatile culture and lifestyle event will be a performance by THEO PARRISH, who finally returns to AIR after a long hiatus. THEO grew up in Chicago in the 1980s, but really started his professional career when he moved to Detroit, in the 1990s. Influenced by two unrivaled holy places of dance music, Theo has shown unrivaled creativity in his work and continues to have a steady following of core-music freaks around the world. This genius is bound to sweep the AIR dance floor, so dive into this magical moment and prepare yourself for quite a trip indeed!
久々にAIRのオーディエンスたちへ魔法をかけるデトロイトの鬼才
ゴールドメダルの中にシンボルのケンタウロスが力強く輝くデザインに装いを新たにしたボトルがリリースされたばかりのRÉMY MARTIN VSOPがプロデュースする “RÉMY:ÜSIC”が、イヤーエンドのAIRで開催される。音楽をベースに多才なカルチャーやライフスタイルを発信してきたイベントのメインアクトを務めるのは、AIRには久々登場となるTHEO PARRISHだ。80年代のシカゴに育った彼は、デトロイトに移住した90年代に本格的なキャリアを開始。ダンスミュージックの2大聖地から多大なインスピレーションを受けた比類なきその創造性は、これまでつねに世界中のコアな音楽フリークたちを魅了し続けてきた。鬼才がAIRのフロアに描き出す、魔法の瞬間に酔いしれてほしい。

デトロイトに拠点をおくプロデューサー、DJ、Theo Parrish(セオ・パリッシュ)。ワシントンDCに生まれ、年少期をシカゴで育つ。またその後カンザスシティー、Kansas City Art InstituteではSound Sculpture（音の彫刻）を専攻。1994年、デトロイトに移住。1997年、レ－ベルSound Signatureを立ち上げ、常に新しい発想と自由な表現で次々に作品を世に送り出す。2013年にはSound SignatureのシスターレーベルWildheart Recordingsを始動している。最新アルバム『American Intelligence』が近々リリースされる予定。

With that love, sampling can become a method of tasteful assembly, collage, as opposed to a creative crutch, plagiarism.
