Kurv has had an impressive year in 2014, offering up events with everyone from MANDY to Mosca, Jimmy Edgar to Dennis Ferrer, and there is time to do it all one more time on December 19th when Kevin Knapp, DeMarzo, System 2, Willers Brothers and The Mistaa all line up.
This selection of artists comes from the future - they are talented DJs and producers very much on the rise and set to define and re-define the house end techno landscape in the coming weeks and months. As such, this is a Kurv presents Future special, so don’t miss out on your chance to get a glimpse of what is to come in electronic music.
First up is American Kevin Knapp, who has collaborated with AudioJack, has his tracks played by Seth Troxler and Eats Everything and who releases on Distant Story, Looq Records and Leftroom. He is a stylish house and techno producer with few equals and is sure to lay down a quality set of future sounds tonight.
DeMarzo is deep, provocative and eclectic and so is his music. It comes on Digital Delight, Nervous and Warung Recordings and as a multi-instrumentalist, his obligation to inject ‘groove’ into both his productions and sets is arousing more and more interest.
System 2 is the DJ and production alias of Tsuba artist Charlie McConville. Based in London, his sound had been forged by various strains of underground genres and inspired by an ever mutating electronic scene, whilst completing the picture are EGG Residents The Willers Brothers.
Last but not least The Mistaa is a DJ, producer and promoter from North London signed to Entail Records. He is a very real talent and definitely one to watch.
