ロシアはモスクワの要注目次世代ディープハウサー才人 "Alexander Lay-Far"

モスクワ出身のDJ/プロデューサーのLay-Farは6年というまだ浅いキャリアながら、ロシアのソウルフルハウスシーンを牽引する1人として活躍している。デトロイトを彷彿させる深いハウスから、レアなディスコ、ファンク、ジャズを行き来する彼の音楽は、次第にDetroit Swindle、Moter City Drum Ensemble、Kyodai、Atjazz、Karizmaなど世界の第一線で活躍するアーティスト達によって広められ、UKの伝説的フェスSouthport WeekenderやクロアチアのSuncebeat Festival、スイスのSchloss Ensenbleなどに出演するようになった。2013年にアルバム「So Many Ways」を発表し、Atjazz Record Company、Local Talk、City Fly、Lazy Daysなどのレーベルからも精力的にリリースを重ねる。彼のトラックはJimpster、Laurent Garnier、Gilles Peterson、Osunladeなどの主催するラジオやポッドキャストにも収録され、瞬く間に彼の名前は世界中へと広がった。ここ日本においてもInterFMなどのラジオでヘビープレイされ、DJ KAWASAKIがPaul RandolphそしてMakotoと共作した新作「Where Would You Be」をRemix。2014年のTokyo Cross Over Jazz Festivalのコンピレーションに限定収録された。そして2015年には彼自身のレーベル「In-Beet-Ween-Music」第一弾のリリースとしてアルバム「So Many Ways」のシングルカットをAtjazzやJonny Millerのリミックスと共に発表予定。彼の卓越した技術とヴィジョンはモスクワを飛び出し、世界基準のアーティストへの階段を着実に歩んでいる。
Lay-Far is a Moscow-based DJ and producer. For the last 6 years he has been a driving force behind soulful and eclectic music scene in Russia. He managed to get the international recognition as a skillful DJ and selector, seamlessly bridging the gaps between deep, Detroit and soulful house, rare disco grooves, funk, jazz-tinged bangers, afrobeat and delivering a unique sonic mixture to satisfy one’s body, mind and soul. The man has got the funk! No wonder he shared the decks with the likes of Detroit Swindle, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kyodai, Craig Smith, Karizma, Atjazz, Mark Pritchard, Dego (4hero), Alex Barck, DJ Food, DJ Krush, DJ Cam, Seiji, Kev Beadle, Mad Mats, Blockhead, Red Rack’Em, etc. at local and international music events and festivals, including the legendary Southport Weekender Festival (UK), SunceBeat Festival (Croatia), Schloss Enseble (Switzerland) and others.
With multiple releases under his belt on such renowned labels as Atjazz Record Company, Local Talk, Tokyo Dawn, Rebirth, Tru Thoughts, City Fly or 4Lux, Lay-Far has been gaining constant support from the likes of Jimpster, Laurent Garnier, Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Ashley Beedle, Phil Asher, Joey Negro, Move D, Rainer Truby, Kon, Patrick Forge, Jazzanova, Gerd, Josh Wink just to name a few. His tracks and remixes are getting some high profile attention at NTS Radio, BBC Radio 6, Mi-Soul Radio, BBC Radio Solent, 22tracks, InterFM (Japan), etc.
Apart from his solo works and projects Lay-Far has been collaborating with Yannah Valdevit, Peter Oakden (Restless Soul), Ugly Drums, Sarah Winton (Nightmares On Wax), Ricky Reid (Soul Renegades), Souled, Dragon, Positive Flow, Pete Simpson, Jonny Miller, Aroop Roy, Stan Smith (Tokyo Dawn) and other independent musicians worldwide. Moreover he has been sharing his skills, knowledge and music vision as a tutor of Sound Engineering and Sound Design Faculty of the Moscow Film School.
