Join us as we pull together and celebrate some heavyweights right here in our own backyard. Between Michael Zucker, Huggy, and Manny Cuevas, we are in for one amazing night.
We will also be using the occasion for our annual food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. This includes our "generous drink special" from 9pm-11pm. Bring in at least one can of food (more is welcome) in exchange for a can of beer at the bar.
Artists
Michael Zucker is part owner of Balance Music Chicago with the Legendary Chez Damier and also operates his own label Finale Sessions US/UK. These labels are where you'll find his productions as well as other releases on Aesthetic Audio Detroit and Sistrum Recordings Detroit under the aliases of Minister Mike, Common People, and Michael Zucker. His approach has lead him to working and producing with artists the likes of Chez Damier, Patrice Scott, Terrence Dixon, Fred P, and Luke Hess. As an international DJ, Zucker has played for crowds in Berlin, Paris, and Los Angeles, including a recent Finale Sessions label night at the iconic techno club, Tresor.
Paul Huggett aka Huggy started his DJ career in 1988 at the Exclusive club in Batley UK In 1992 he took residency at the seminal Back to Basics in Leeds UK where his legendary sets gained him a loyal fan base. His first works as Bear (Wulf N Bear) fame, Urban Farmers, Unlikely Lads, and Hoth were ahead of their time and were given steaming reviews in the likes of Mix Mag, NME, and Muzik. Along the way he has landed on underground labels such as 20:20 Vision, Slip 'n' Slide, and more recently Tango. Huggy’s eclectic style has seen him DJ across the four corners of the earth hitting major destinations like Paris, London, Ibiza, Frankfurt, and Sydney as well as half of the US since he arrived in Orlando in 1997. He continues to take crowds on a ride through the sounds of funk, house, and techno.
DJ M-TRAXXX aka Manny Cuevas is one of Florida and Orlando's earliest champions for house music. Manny evolved with the music from its early beginnings, starting with '70s classic disco and funk, transitioning into the early punk/new wave/industrial scene of the '80s, and eventually growing into his own with house music. He was the first to drop the sounds of Chicago house and Detroit techno in Florida after moving there in '85. Over the years he has created long lasting relationships with artists that went on to become the pillars of house and techno as we know it today, making a name for himself through his internationally recognized radio shows dating back to '89. His partnership with DJ Pierre as A&R for his Afro Acid Digital label is just one of many examples of Manny's footprint on this music.
Event
During a secret warehouse gathering in the Fall of 2011 generations of house heads, musicians, and dancers founded what is now known as the Open House Conspiracy (OHC). Heavily rooted in a history of house culture and fused with new blood poised to carry these traditions forward into the future, our events capture a true timelessness. As we like to say, programming that spans across genres for a cross generational dance floor.
