Bleep.com: Mysterious producer Efestion and Krautrock pioneer Harald Grosskopf link for a very intriguing collaboration on Munich’s Permanent Vacation. Grosskopf is noted for his 70’s drum work for Klaus Schulze and Ash Ra Tempel’s Manuel Göttsching, while Efestion is a relative newcomer about whom little is known. The fruit of their unlikely partnering is ‘Subconscio’, a hypnotic extended cut that blends stargazing Italo-house with the sort of exploratory electronics introduced by Göttsching on his groundbreaking E2-E4 album. Also included is a Permanent Vacation mix that reshapes the original’s emotive bass line and dreamy synths into a tighter, more danceable house version.
