Kenji Takimi is a true pioneer of the Leftfield/Alternative Disco scene. Master of the Romantic, Spacey, Eclectic style. 25 years making. and his label Crue-l Records has been at the forefront of Japanese alternative music since its inception 23 years ago. Kenji is best known for his critically-acclaimed work as “Crue-l Grand Orchestra“ and “Luger E-Go” and new moniker name “Being Borings“ as well as remixes for artists such as Cut Copy, Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Cornelius, Pizzicato V, Boris, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Sebastien Tellier, Nina Kraviz, Woolfy, Dimitri from Paris, Pacific Horizons and alongside work from dance favorites Theo Parrish and DJ Harvey and countless more. One of Japan's busiest and most sought-after DJ s, Kenji has a busy schedule both in Japan and overseas. His new official MIXCD "XLAND RECORDS presents XMIX 03 Compiled & Turntable Mixed by KENJI TAKIMI" released end of 2013. New compilation album "Crue-L Cafe 2" release soon.
