  • Lunar Bunker X Third Ear Recordings What is the Third Ear sound? We say; music made primarily but not exclusively using computers, synthesisers and turntables/controllers as the musical instruments. Strap yourselves in ladies and gents, we're back after over a year long hiatus & happy to present to what we've been up to. As well as our regular live art performances look out for some quirky shenanigans to keep you entertained throughout the night as well as an after party for those with exceptional stamina. MAIN ROOM: Lunar Bunker X Third Ear El Preovost LIVE Ft. Dham (Third Ear recording) "Lincoln ‘El’ Prevost has been making beats for over 10 years. Previously achieving success as one half of Deepologists, it has only been in the last few years that El Prevost has properly found his sound and looks set for major success. His 3 eps for London’s Third Ear Recordings, The Money Honey ep (2011), the Putting Out Fires ep (2012) and most recently in 2013 the Ash ep are all strong selections and show El Prevost to have developed a very individual sound which many DJs like. As Third Ear’s Guy McCreery has said; ‘El Prevost has a talent for beats, grooves and sound design that few can match.” El Prevost’s tracks are being caned by DJs like Steve Bug, Patrice Scott, DJ Hell, Pearson Sound, Steffi, Dan Ghenacia/Apollonia, Dixon, Ricardo Villalobos and many other DJs. El Prevost’s live show is also something extra. Years of studio experience and of live experience are now coming together. Moscow’s premier club, Arma 17 and a number of London’s top clubs, including Corsica Studios and The Rhythm Factory have all been rocked by El Prevost, leading to rammed dance floors." - RA B.Riddim LIVE (Third Ear Recordings) Having been exposed to analogue sounds since he was a kid, this influence has always been strong in his creations. Coming from an artistic family, and with classical roots, B. studies Classical Piano and Music Theory at the conservatory of his native town. This young musician is still producing heavy bass lines, swooning hypnotic synths, and entrancing drum patterns, but his music is now mature. You can maybe recognise elements from all these styles and much more in B.Riddim, yet his music is none of those. B.Riddim is Luis Sequeira, a Portuguese living in London. Magic My Ear is his second ep for Third Ear, following the (In) Theory ep in 2012. Formerly a driving force in the influential Portuguese rap group G-Ward under the name Bellatur, Luis followed his love of Jamaican Dub using electronics to arrive at a sound which is identifiable through the sum of its parts but which is quite unique. Music like this might reasonably be expected to come from Bristol, given Bristol's musical history. Gabbi (Release/Sustain) Gabbi Lopez is a London based DJ/producer with a valuable experience within the music scene along the way. French born with Portuguese origins, Gabbi grew up in North Portugal where his first adventures in music began. When he discovered house and techno, he dedicated hours behind his decks practicing with vinyls in a religious way. Diverse electronic sounds from different cities kept floating in Gabbi’s mind. It was then when he decided to move to London to study music production and search for the right path to take.Getting a job in a record store, Gabbi gained more music knowledge, getting a taste of various musical genres. His talent has now being recognised in London’s scene and more regular gigs started coming in underground parties. 2003 was the year that Gabbi moved to East London’s Bricklane, where he kept a long residency at 1001 Café. It was also the place where he met his long time partner Altino Fernandes. Together they have established “Brickbeat”, a series of strong electronic music events, and after the russian bar. A number of quality showcases and parties have also been produced in London’s clubs and warehouses by the duo, involving more artists. Their record label “Release Sustain” was born in 2009 as a collaboration of multi cultural artists, with distinctive production skills and joined musical ethos. Gabbi continues to work in several quality projects, his record label and different events-from “12 hour music marathons”, to a variation of quality residencies and successful releases. Admin (Futureboogie Recordings/Glasgow Underground) Steadily and patiently rising into light is Admin a.k.a Adam Wickens. Adam is a knowledgeable veteran beyond his years, he dedicates much of his time to the listening, carefully drawing musical influences from Chicago to Berlin to respectably invest into his own, soulful, astral and progressive productions. In what we can characterise as a truly impatient and disposable era that we now live in, Admin is a refreshing reminder that we can still build a path in music at our own pace.
