  • It happened 40 years ago today. Two people fell in love ... with love. When you're laying so close to me There's no place I'd rather you be than with me, uh Do it to me again and again You put me in such a awful spin, in a spin, in uh Lay your head down real close to me Soothe my mind and set me free, set me free, uh Ahaaw, I love to love you, baby Ahaaw, I love to love you, baby Ahaaw, I love to love you, baby Ahaaw, I love to love you, baby The year was 1975. The two people were Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder. And they would name their child Disco. On the 6th of March, the KOOKOO hosts MIEKO SUZUKI & ARA want to celebrate this child of love with a very special night at OHM Gallery, presenting some of their most loved DJs and fine artists. ERRORSMITH is dedicated to the expansion of sonic horizons through digital sound synthesis and his infectious DJ sets. Since the mid 90's, he produces club music in the broadest sense of the word, be it as part of the duos MMM (together with Berghain resident DJ Fiedel) or Smith n Hack (with Soundstream a.k.a. Soundhack) or in collaborations with the likes of Mouse On Mars. CRATO is one of the founders of Magazine, running the label with his long-time friends Barnt and Popnoname. He is part of the electro kraut supergroup Cologne Tape and, as a graphic designer, responsible for the visual appearance of releases on Kompakt and for the artwork that turns every Magazine record into a unique collector's item. Have we mentioned that he's a great DJ as well? AIKO OKAMOTO is using cliché and naïveté as a weapon. She has been active in the fields of visual art and club culture since 2003, working as resident VJ at Harry Klein in Munich and for the female:pressure network as well as running her own artist platform TOKONOMA. CARLY FISCHER is a sculptural installation artist from Melbourne, Australia. Her practice explores the precariousness of place and cultural identity in an increasingly globalised contemporary reality. She fabricates paper replica environments that inhabit an ambiguously hybrid and fascinating space. YUKIHIRO TAGUCHI is a medium. He creates installations and interventions based on the inspiration he gets from each specific site, mostly working with stop-motion video works. This results in visual feedback loops enhancing the experience of everyone present in the given space at the given time. VESSELIN ATANASSOV is an amazingly big-hearted guy. And we bet you'll love to love his art, too. Text: Arno Raffeiner(Spex)
