Gather Round… Rashid Ajami is the second in the series of club nights hosted by Chapter 24, a deep and melodic house and techno record label.
The concept is simple: a chance for the Chapter 24 community to get together to hear talented label artists set the scene, building a platform for the headliner to spin us a tale.
Everyone in the room has a role to play in these stories. Tales that we are sure will be told years from now...tales that are meant to be passed on!
We are delighted to announce Rashid Ajami as the headliner for our second edition of Gather Round. An extremely talented DJ and producer, Rashid has released on labels such as Anjunadeep, Get Physical, Armada, Kittball, Eklektisch, Toolroom and Ministry of Sound.
Rashid started 2015 fresh off the back of his Beatport #1 Minimal release 'What You Like EP' on Einmusika and Top 10 House release 'Forrest EP' on Subjekt. 2015 has been a great start for Rashid’s productions, with his track ‘Reasons Why’ on Cajual receiving strong support from the likes of Noir, Cajmere and Sonny Fodera.
This is Rashid's first headline appearance in London and we can't wait to hear him spin us a story in May.
One half of seemingly unstoppable duo Him_self_Her (Crosstown Rebels, Suara, Toolroom), Claire Spooner's solo project Just Her marks the start of another chapter in her story, showcasing deep, melodic, emotion-filled grooves, from house and electronica through to techno. With such a diverse range of records in her bag, combined with her experience and raw talent behind the decks, we are expecting something very special from Just Her.
Support on the night will be in the very able hands of talented Chapter 24 residents KatrinKa, QUARTZ and Twelve Minds, plus a special debut set from label boss Sam Pauli.
The night will once again be hosted at The Star of Kings, a great club venue equipped with a Funktion One sound system, in a central location steeped in dance culture.
