To celebrate our 10th anniversary, Play’house shows off with DJ Sneak, one of the biggest characters of the house scene, to play an exclusive 3 hours mix of jacking and underground house music. Sneak was born in Puerto Rico, a small island in the Caribbean, as Carlos Sosa. In 1983 he moved to Chicago, where he was raised by his family, filling his days with airbrushing and doing graffiti. Shortly afterwards, he got a job at a local store called Gramophone Records, where he met legends like Green Velvet and Kenny Dope from Masters At Work. So Sneak obviously developed his skills at work and got inspired by the legendary Warehouse parties in Chicago. The old skool mixtapes of Farley Jackmaster Funk, Marshall Jefferson and Steve „Silk” Hurley also affected Sneak.
In 1995 Sneak’s new sound revolutionized house music with inspirational sounds and rhythms never heard before. One year later he released his track „You Can’t Hide From Your Bud”, a true masterpiece and instant classic! Since the 80’s he redefined house music and 3 decades later he’s still a huge inspiration for upcoming DJ’s and producers around the world. Nowadays he’s living in Toronto, Canada, and spending his summers in Ibiza. Running his own „I’m A House Gangster” brand and podcasts known around the world, we can definitely say; he’s running it like a boss.
