DANNY RAMPLING ...
Rampling is a bonafide music visionary and a revolutionary dance music pioneer. With the massive acceleration on his DJ career in the 80’s Danny decided to open his own club, The infamous Shoom Club, London. With spending subsequent years spent on the white isle, Rampling's catalyst influence has helped to shape dance music for over 25 years. Playing along side the likes of the late Frankie Knuckles - ( RIP ), Todd Terry, and Pete Tong he shot to world wide fame. Playing in some of the wolrds best clubs, Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege backs this statement up.
The infamous Shoom Club, London, became a seminal event for the Acid house and rave movement in the late eighties which had a massive impact on the underground scene around the UK and without doubt his name was clearly stamped on the minds of house heads throughout the land.
In the 90's his influence gained massive momentum as he toured worldwide and became a household name with a Radio One show that lasted six years. Danny Rampling has sold over a Million compilation albums and has been presented with a magnificent variety of top prestigious awards over the years including being Voted #1 Dj by DJ Magazine in their first ever top 100 poll; Music Magazine : ''Outstanding Contribution to Dance Music Award'' - 1998 ; Ibiza Music Awards : ''Best Radio DJ'' and ''Outstanding Achievement Award'' - 2000 ; Ibiza Music Award : ''Lifetime Achievement'' - 2005 and was nominated in DJ Mags ''Best of British Outstanding Contribution Award'' - 2012
In 2005 Danny announced his retirement from the scene, he removed the jack and brought down the faders which was a disappointment to so many. However THANKFULLY, after a short time he returned to his passion and true love and we are proud to say that we will be gracing the decks with this absolute legend on the 16th May at The X Studio Kings Cross.
