Their last show in HK 2013 got a massive applause with no doubt and also performed in Bali recently. Building up solid reputation in Asia, CRO-MAGNON is coming back to HK with evolved sound and performance. Also from Jazzy Sport Headquarters Tokyo, DJ Masaya Fantasista & Mikey Varot, and Jazzy Sport HK’s own Taku Hirayama are lined up on decks to drop top eclectic vibes.

Back in 1996, SHIGEKAZU OTAKE (Drums & Percussions), TSUYOSHI KOSUGA (Guitar & Bass), TAKUMI KANEKO (Keyboard) met each other and started jamming at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. And they formed a band “Loop Junktion”, possibly the first Japanese live hiphop band with extra members after they went back to Tokyo and released a few albums. In 2004, they reformed as new band "Cro-Magnon" with current members and signed to one of Japan's finest label "Jazzy Sport Production".
Based on soul music, Cro-Magnon plays fusion of jazz, funk, disco, afro, latin, reggae, dub, house and released 5albums. Also collaborated with numbers of international and Japan's domestic talented artists such as “Roy Ayers” “Idjut Boys” “Sa-Ra Creative Partners” “Steve Spacek” “Asako Toki” “Yohei Miyake” to name some. All of their releases got respectable worldwide feedback from music lovers. Also you can find their quality covers of “Moodymann” “Herbie Hancock” “Freddie Hubbard” “Stevie Wonder” “Michael Jackson” “Jackson5” “Sly and Family Stone” “Sade” with some of their concept albums. Latest album “V” (2014) is blessed with their musical roots and new essence of hiphop, house, techno. Pushed them up to next level with their eclecticism and top performance skills.
Groove of Cro-Magnon is far beyond music genre and their performance got world class reputation with 3times of Europe tour in 11countries. Also their show got massive praise and response at Seoul, Shanghai, Jakarta and Hong Kong. On their home ground in Japan, from renown Fuji Rock Festival to many other big and small music festivals everywhere in the island, they keep earning solid reputation for their unique live performance as one of the the best Japanese dance live music. 料金
