  • DEEP DARK DIRTY with DALE ANDERSON (Global Underground) also with TIME Residents: Alinep, Emel Rowe, Martin Lugtu & Pav Parrotte with Br3aking Silence on the roof. Dale Anderson has brought his techno-tinged sound to more than fifty cities in twenty countries on four continents. As both a DJ and producer, Dale's musical diversity cuts across the deepest and darkest percussive house, to a tougher 4am club sound that borders the line between house and techno. A musician through and through, Dale is equally at home manning the controls in the studio as he is in the dingiest of dimly lit low ceiling basement clubs or the main stage of an outdoor festival. Appearances at some of the most widely respected clubs and parties in the world - Cocoon in Frankfurt, Ministry of Sound in London, the Miami Winter Music Conference etc. - has solidified his reputation as a consistent deliverer of quality. A British Canadian born in Vancouver, Dale got an early start at the height of the warehouse scene in the late nineties, playing rave parties in Canada and the US. As things developed, Dale migrated eastward across the Atlantic to what was then the epicentre of the house scene, London England. It was here that his career began to take shape, as Dale played dates up and down the country - from Ministry of Sound in London, to Gatecrasher in Birmingham, Honey in Brighton to Digital in Bristol. As Dale's productions started to gain support from the international DJ community, his own DJ schedule blossomed. Dale was invited further afield to places like Eastern Europe, Central and South America, Asia, and beyond. It was also in London where Dale met long-time friend and production partner Anil Chawla. The duo's first ever track, "Makes Me Feel", was an instant hit, with Saved Records label boss Nic Fanciulli snapping it up for inclusion on his Renaissance compilation. Other labels took notice, and heavyweight Global Underground came calling, asking the boys to do a full length artist album. "Roadhouse" was released on Global Underground to critical acclaim from all the major dance music press, with DJ Mag calling it "sparkling pro to-prog pop" to IDJ who said that Dale and Anil had "set the standard for 2009". The fourth track on the album "Leftorium" went on to be one of GU's biggest single releases ever, sitting in the top ten on the main Beatport chart for more than two months, and garnering a nomination for Best Deep House track in the Beatport Awards. Following on from this, Dale and Anil released the first ever GU Loopmasters Sample Pack, mixed the GU Classics compilation on GU Music, and joined the GU artist roster as resident DJs. Aside from this, Dale has released more than forty original productions on labels like Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records, Fergie and Mr Henry Von's Tribal Rage, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, Urban Torque and a host of others. With DJ support coming from tastemakers such as Carl Cox, Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo and many more, Dale continues to stamp his sound on the scene.
