カリフェ・シューマッハ・トリスターノについて
クラシック界の若き貴公子と賛美されつつ、「Strings Of Life」のカヴァーや「Idiosynkrasia」によりクラブ界でも大注目を浴び、デリック・メイ、ジェフ・ミルズ、カール・クレイグ等のデトロイ ト・テクノの巨匠達やモーリッツ・フォン・オズワルドとのコラボレイションを行い、エレクトロニック・ミュージックの新機軸を作り上げる動き を見せ、今年の春に『Get Physical Music Presents: Body Language, Vol. 16 by Francesco Tristano』ミックスCDも出し、次世代の中で最も独創的で、多岐に渡る活動を繰り広げているアーティストの一人である地位を確立したフランチェス コ・トリスターノ。
優れた才能と感受性を持ち、毎回のライヴでは威勢の良い、華麗な演奏を楽しませてくれるヴィブラフォン奏者であるパスカル・シューマッハは、 現在の新しいヨーロッパ・ジャズ・シーンを代表する旗手の一人だ。2012年以来毎年来日し、コットン・クラブ、横浜ジャズ・プロメナード等 のライヴを行い、今年の初旬には長期滞在時に感化され制作した、「Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence」のカヴァーも含む最新作『レフト・東京・ライト』の発表により、日本との強い絆をより深めているアーティストだ。
アラブの音楽文化のルーツを持ちつつ、第二の故郷であるフランスの音楽文化のるつぼが特有とする鮮明なリズムを精通したレバノン出身のマル チ・プレイヤーで、このトリオではパーカッションを担当しているバシャール・カリフェは、他の二人の演奏を補完するリズムの礎を築き、このト リオのライヴを新たな音楽領域に導かせる。
2年前にこの３名のアーティストは、ハイブリッドな音楽世界を模索するためにKhalife Schumacher Tristanoというトリオを結成し、ライヴ活動を開始。あまりにも多角的で、荒れ果てた組み合わせである彼等が演奏するライヴでしか経験出来ない特異 性をより多くが堪能するために、デビュー作の『Afrodiziak』を制作し、今年の始めに独MPSから発表。しかし、Khalife Schumacher Tristanoの真の魅力は、魅惑的な音楽オーラが満ち溢れる、歓喜の静穏が浮かび上がる、円熟さが感じられるライヴ演奏に潜んでおり、また同時にこの トリオは、まるでこれから凄い事を成し遂げようとする予兆を発しているようで、今回の日本の初ライヴは、絶対に見逃す訳には行かない。
About Khalife Schumacher Tristano
Along with being praised as the young prince of classical music, Francesco Tristano also receives loads of attention in the club scene with his release of a cover of an all-time techno classic, Strings Of Life and Idiosynkrasia. With his collaboration with Detroit techno legends such as Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, and Moritz Von Oswald, he has displayed splendid innovation in electronic music. Along with all his many feats, he has released his own mix CD, Get Physical Music Presents: Body Language, Vol. 16 by Francesco Tristano through Get Physical this spring, whereby establishing his position as one of the most original and actively versatile artist of the next generation.
A vibraphone player with a unique aptitude and sensitivity who manages to inject panache and flamboyance into every performance, Pascal Schumacher is currently one of the flag-bearers of the new European Jazz scene. From 2012, he has visited Japan every year and performed live at venues such as Cotton Club, Yokohama Jazz Promenade, etc. Early this year, he has released his new album, Left Tokyo Right which was inspired by his long stay in Japan before and includes a cover of the Ryuchi Sakamoto classic, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Due to this album release, his link to Japan has deepened even stronger.
With his roots in the Arabic music culture as well as mastering the rhythmically colorful, musical melting pot of his adopted home of France, Lebanese multi-instrumentalist, Bachar Khalife handles the percussions for this trio. He lays the complementary rhythmic foundation that takes this trio's live performances to ever new musical heights.
2 years ago, these 3 artists formed a trio called Khalife Schumacher Tristano, to seek a new, hybrid musical world and started to perform live. As their music is so multifaceted and they themselves are a wild combination, for the purpose of others to enjoy the uniqueness of their live performances, they produced and released their debut album, Afrodiziak, through MPS (Germany) at the beginning of this year. But their true allure is in their live performance where their magical, musical aura of happy serenity emerges, which makes them sound musically mature and at the same time, they give the impression that they're just getting started so this Japan debut live performance is not something to be missed.

1990年、United Future Organization (U.F.O.)を結成。日本におけるクラブカルチャー創世記の礎を築く。12年間で5枚のフルアルバムを世界32ヶ国で発売し、高い評価を得た。独立後も精力的に国内外のクラブやフェスティバルでDJ。さらにイベントのプロデュースやファッション・ブランドなどの音楽監修を手掛ける。2013年、4人の実力派ミュージシャンとともに、東京 から世界に向けて現在進行形のジャズを発信するプロジェクト"HEX"を始動。Blue Note Recordsからアルバムをワールドワイド・リリース。Inter FM "TOKYO MOON"（毎週水曜23:00）好評オンエア中。
Toshio Matsuura
Founding member United Future Organization (U.F.O.) which was formed in 1990. The collective established the beginning of Japanese club culture, and released 5 full albums in 32 countries which gained high reputation in 12 years. After leaving U.F.O., he has continued to play at clubs and festivals internationally and currently produces events and supervises music for notable fashion brands. In 2013, he gathered talented and forward-thinking artists based in Tokyo to produce a project called “HEX,” which presents Tokyo’s progressive form of Jazz to the world. The debut album “HEX” was released from Blue Note Records worldwide. His radio program “TOKYO MOON” is on air Wednesday 23:00-24:00 (JPN Time) on InterFM.
HIROSHI WATANABE aka KAITO (Kompakt)
ドイツ最大のエレクトロニック・レーベルKompakt唯一の日本人アーティストとしてKaito名義の作品を発表する傍ら、ギリシャのKlik Recordsを拠点としても活動を続けるHiroshi Watanabe。2002年にリリースされたKaitoの1stアルバム『Special Life』に収録された「Intension」がFrancois K.のミックスCDに収録されるなど瞬く間に大反響を呼び、10年以上が経過した現在も色褪せることのない名曲として語り継がれている。その後、Kompaktのコンピレーション・アルバム『Total 6』にも収録された表題曲を含む2ndアルバム『Hundred Million Light Years』をリリース。この2枚のアルバムで一躍Kaitoの名は世界中に浸透し、バルセロナの“Sonar Festival”などのビック・イベントでライヴを披露、屈指のパーティー・アニマル達を熱狂の渦に巻き込んだ。Kaitoのオリジナル・アルバムでは常に対になるビートレス・アルバムも制作され、繊細かつ美しい旋律により幅広い音楽ファンに受け入れられている。3rdアルバム『Trust』に対しての『Trust Less』では更にアコースティックな要素も取り入れ、リスニング機能をより高めた作品となった。本名のHiroshi Watanabe名義では自身最大のセールスを記録した1stアルバム『Genesis』に続き、2011年に『Sync Positive』を発表。タイトルが示す通り、リスナーを鼓舞させる渾身の作品としてロング・ヒットとなっている。またリミックスを機に交流を深めてきた曽我部恵一との異色コラボレーション・アルバム『Life, Love』ではメランコリックな音像と歌声が溶け合った叙情的なサウンドで新境地を切り拓いている。1994年からスタートさせたDJ活動は時代の移り変わりと共に2004年にラップトップでのプレイ・スタイルを確立させ、2009年には様々な表現に挑み続けるべくプロフェッショナルDJコントローラー「TR-1」をVestaxと共同開発。後に現場での感覚を経て「TR-1 MKII」へとアップグレードさせている。一方、ニューヨーク在住時代に出会ったグラフィック・デザイナー、北原剛彦とのダウンテンポ・プロジェクトTreadでは、シンプルで柔らかい上音と乾いたビートの融合を絶妙のバランスで確立し、ハウス、テクノ、ヒップ・ホップなどジャンルの壁を越えて多方面から注目を浴びることに。レーベルnormから限定生産された5枚のアルバムと4枚のEPは不変の価値を持つ名盤として知られている。2013年にはKompaktの20周年を記念して制作された二枚組DJミックス『Recontact』をリリース、更にKaito名義としては4年振りとなるアルバム『Until the End of Time』を発表。新生Kaitoとも言える壮大なサウンドスケープが描かれている。
HIROSHI WATANABE has been involved in the house and techno music since his graduation from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, U.S.A. where he received a major in Music Synthesis. Following his move to New York City he started DJing in plenty of hot venues. clubs Twillo and Tunnel & Speeed, along with having held a residency at Save the Robots since mid 90s. in 1999 moving back to Tokyo and started new project, Kaito is probably the most well-known alias of Japanese producer, Watanabe has produced tracks that the brain trust at Cologne's Kompakt label has dubbed nu-trance. Combining early ‘90s trance elements with the sensibilities of a deep house producer, Watanabe issued a trio of Kaito 12" singles between 2001 and 2002 before dropping the full-length Special Life, a compilation of those tracks with some added material. until now it been already around 14 years. Kaito released 3 more albums on Kompakt. at the same time there are 4 another ambient albums compare to the full albums which re-arranged all tracks without beat elements. since 2004 started to work as HIROSHI WATANABE project on KLIK records in Greece and released 2 albums "Genesis" and "Sync Positive"... today, the new HIROSHI WATANABE project has been processing on Transmat Records in Detroit, coming his brand new EP will be available soon. このイベントで問題がありましたか？
