Once again Copenhagen’s iconic Koncerthuset will play host to a Red Bull Music Academy Special. This time around we’re presenting local heroes WhoMadeWho with their unique brand of deep emotive pop and spacious electronics. Also expect the likes of Sohn, Sevdaliza, and Taragana Pyjarama to join them throughout the night.
Whether dressing up in skeleton suits when playing live, or elegantly adding breezy pop moments, woodwinds and Teutonic synths to their disco punk sounds, WhoMadeWho are on a mission to eschew convention. Comprised of Jeppe Kjellberg, Tomas Barfod and Tomas Høffding, the trio’s influences range from Scandinavian independent rock, to the avant-garde jazz scene and beyond. Their string of albums on Gomma and Kompakt has earned them a reputation for emotive electronics and pop hooks that can command any dancefloor. Their most recent full-length, Dreams, saw them inaugurate their own imprint, Darup Associates.
