The application phase for this year’s Academy edition in Montreal has started! To give you a taste of what a day at the Academy feels like, we’re hosting a RBMA Session, with a lecture at Replace Building and a club night, in Seoul. You’ll have all your questions about the Academy and the upcoming application process answered, learn a thing or two, and have some fun along the way.
Your guest lecturer will be French electronic music ninja Teki Latex, who will also be dropping a heavyweight selection of cutting-edge dancefloor bombs alongside his TTC and Sound Pellegrino fellow, Orgasmic, at Cakeshop, starting at 10pm.
Having been close friends since their teens, Teki Latex and Orgasmic have earned a reputation for taking hip hop’s template into strange new territories with their 90s abstract rap crew, TTC. In keeping track of local and global scenes, and pulling disparate sounds together with style, they’ve become pivotal players in the French music scene, and started their own label, Sound Pellegrino, as well as turning the clubs out as the bass-bruising Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team.
