Midnight Project is a monthly intimate gathering of heads who want to experience music differently. This February's guest is Steven Tang who has pioneered the Chicago house/techno scene. A Hong Kong native, Steven Tang's humble beginnings in electronic music started after migrating to Chicago in the early 80s; which led to his discovery of house music through friends and many weekends of recording mixes off Chicago's airwaves. As his addiction for this music grew, he soon started shopping for the latest cuts of the day at stores such as Imports Etc. and Loop Records. As his record collection expanded so did his interest in dj-ing, owning his first pair of Gemini decks in 1988.
