Gate Nº5 opened its green gates two years ago and to help celebrate the milestone, Different Language have invited a very special talent needing very little introduction, Cassy.
Over the years, Cassy has worked with the likes of Mathew Jonson, Steve Bug, Zip and Ricardo Villalobos and held residencies at some of the worlds finest clubs including Panorama Bar, Rex Club, Trouw, Amnesia with Cocoon and more recently DC10 with Circo Loco.
Cassy has released music on key labels including Perlon, Ostgut Ton and her own Cassy imprint. Cassy mixed the first Panorama Bar CD compilation as well as mixing the heralded fabric 71.
In 2016 Cassy will release her debut artist album, produced with King Britt. As un-yet unnamed, her emotive, soulful voice features on almost every track of the album, which draws you in, telling a story of her journey in human relationships.
Cassy is an artist who knows and speaks her mind and stands strong as a unique inspiration in dance music.
In it’s short two years, the underground club space in Hull has received glowing reviews from both DJs and clubbers alike. Gate Nº5 was recommended on Pete Tong’s Radio One show and has had numerous features in music publications MixMag and DJMag.
Gate Nº5 has already attracted some of the scenes finest including Tobi Neumann, Dana Ruh, Guti, Enzo Siragusa, Martin Buttrich, Onur Özer, Guido Schneider and Neverdogs and is set to make an important contribution to Hull’s City of Culture in 2017.
