  • It has been almost one full year since Milk Chocolate City brought Mr. V to "Zeba Bar". To celebrate our 1 year anniversary with you beautiful people we bring to you the one and only House Music Legend DJ ROLAND CLARK to Red Maple on Friday, February 19th for an intimate set with the city of Baltimore. We pair up with Tony Smooth's "City Sound" Party to celebrate our 1 year anniversary together as one. Roland rarely comes out to DC, so you dont want to miss this opportunity to catch him LIVE. If you are from DC, and you are wondering how you are going to get to Baltimore, they have $7 one way MARC Train from Union Station, Washington D.C. Just book a hotel near by, and make a mini getaway out of the experience, trust us, it will be worth it! -Pre Sale tickets will be $10 (ALL NIGHT ENTRY) through different online ticket retailers. -It will be free before 10pm, if you know for sure you will get there early. -$5 before 11pm -$10 after 11pm -- DJ ROLAND CLARK (defected / delete records / get physical music | ATL) Set Time: 12am-2am DJ Roland Clark House Music’s Songsmith /Producer/ Deejay and Vocalist Past Aliases: Digital Pimps, South Street Player, Urban Soul/Dark Clark/and his latest alter ego Jesus Jackson which pegged the 3rd season opening of Greys Anatomy song “ Running On Sunshine”: Roland Clark is also featured vocalist on many Fatboy Slim releases. His voice is sometimes described as wildly erotic, soulful, loving, and deep. and his Midas Touch seems to be constant: if you can get Roland on your track, its going to be magic. Roland also carved himself a nice slice of house music’s pie with his phenomenal deejaying and production skills. His contributions infuse many artists best works, including Bob Sinclair, Armand Van Helden's gorgeous "Flowerz." Not surprising, though it is another track blessed by the voice of Roland Clark. Quite simply, Roland Clark has carved-out his place in history as the voice of House Music. Quote: "If House is a nation, I Wanna Be President!" ( DJ Roland Clark) much like a undeniable storm working with such deejays and other producers much like himself such as Todd Terry, Kenny Dope, Mark Knight, Bad Boy Bill, Meat Katie, Sandy Rivera , Terry Hunter and Rodger Sanchez, Noir, Soul Dynamic, George Morel, and Erick Morillo just to name a few.. Roland sounds if need be compared would be much like a chameleon going from a soulful sultriness to a hard house and techno. He has been sometimes pegged as the Nate Dogg of house, or house music’s laureate.and most notable these days are his deejay skills and the way he gets the crowd begging for more well after the lights come on. Whatever his title or which hat he has on that day be sure that this man is just beginning after all these years and will be a force to be reckoned with in the now and future. https://www.mixcloud.com/djrolandclark/ -- Tony Smooth (System Recordings & Mashpotato Records | LA/DC) Set Time: 11pm-12am Tony Smooth began his DJ career in 1999. His goal on every set is to intoxicate his audience with real feel good music while exposing the less exposed and well known artists. As a son of a Dj in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, V_Coch was raised on the funky, soulful sounds of artists from labels such as Stax, Polydor, Motown, Philadelphia International, Sal-Soul, Prelude, and the list goes on. While growing up on his father’s music, He stayed tuned to legendary radio DJs from Frankie Crocker, Kool DJ Red Alert, Mr. Magic, Tony Humphries to DJ Mr. Cee, Marley Marl, Kid Capri, Stretch & Bobbito, Louie Vega and many more. V-Coch continues to master his craft by being a student of the art form of DJing and music. Over the past year, DJ V_Coch has been utilizing his broad taste of music as one of the Friday night resident DJs at Dunya where he was discovered by Milk Chocolate City Founder Ildemar Cerruto. https://soundcloud.com/milkchocolatecity -- DjPaulHoward (Milk Chocolate City | DC) Set Time: 9:30pm-10:15pm I have been Dj’ing since ’88. My first opportunity came from Sam Burns who called one day when he was sick, and asked if I could Dj for him at Chicagos night club. From there I started playing Sunday nights and began to build a following. I spun on Friday nights at the Roxy, Wednesdays at Annastasias, Thursdays at Quigleys and various HUHC events. I spun Hip Hop on 93.9 WKYS for one year 91-92. I have played at Kilimanjaros, The Ritz, The Opera, spun for Diddy as well as Kid Capri and Funk Master Flex. In 2015 DjPaulHoward reached out to Ildemar, Founder of Milk Chocolate City where he got his first gig with them at Dunya’s. After a great showing of support from friends, fans, and family, DJ Paul Howard was made a member of Milk Chocolate City. https://soundcloud.com/milkchocolatecity --
