  • Having sold out every show so far this season, Future Classic and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) are excited to announce a special edition of FCxMCA this March - a takeover by Sydney’s own art/music/party collective, Pelvis, featuring an exclusive Sydney appearance from incomparable selector Kenji Takimi. The MCA Sculpture Terrace has already hosted an incredible array of artists this season including Kenton Slash Demon, Roland Tings, Wafia and Anthony Naples. In March, the space will once again be transformed into a dance party with the most spectacular views in Sydney, this time featuring a headline set from Japan's Kenji Takimi as well as Pelvis’ own crew behind the decks. Ticket holders are entitled to exclusive after-hours access to the MCA’s Collection, with galleries remaining open for the first hour of the event especially for FCxMCA attendees. This month, immerse yourself in an expansive range of artworks with new additions to the MCA Collection galleries on Level 2 by artists Richard Bell, Tim Johnson, Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Rosalie Gascoigne. Kenji Takimi is a true pioneer of the leftfield scene. His label Crue-L Records has been at the forefront of Japanese alternative music since its inception 24 years ago, releasing the likes of Cornelius and Buffalo Daughter, as well as Kenji's own production projects Crue-L Grand Orchestra, Luger E-Go and Being Borings. Having remixed artists including Cut Copy, Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) and Boris, alongside studio work with dance favourites Theo Parrish and DJ Harvey, Kenji is one of Japan's busiest and most sought-after DJs with an unmistakable romantic, spacey and eclectic style. Pelvis are a multifaceted leisure-system celebrating dance, music, film, visual and spatial design through their parties, clothing, mixes, edits and other projects. Stimulating the senses of like minded mammals worldwide since their immaculate conception in 2012, they are encouraging of any/all dance floors with a preference for the long, the late and the loud. Trusted by Sydney’s dance fiends to always bring the good times!
