The application phase for the 2016 edition of the Red Bull Music Academy is in full swing! To pave the way for Montreal, we’re setting out for a four-day musical takeover of the Chilean capital.
From February 25th to 28th, the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Santiago will establish a creative environment at NAVE for sixteen hand-picked participants from Latin America. During the day, they’ll be attending lectures, workshops and studio sessions, and in the evenings they bring the unique vibe of RBMA’s Bass Camps to the dancefloors of Santiago’s top spots.
Saturday will see a banging RBMA takeover of three clubs at Loreto street in Bellavista, featuring Chilean-German powerhouse Matias Aguayo alongside fellow Cómeme founder Vicente Sanfuentes at Bar Loreto. Also on the bill: a fine cast of label cohorts, such as RBMA alumni Alejandro Paz, Valesuchi and Ana Helder, while Onaciú will feature the finest in Mexican club music with a NAAFI showcase. Expect dub, techno, and future house riddims by Academy alum LAO, alongside Paul Marmota, Whitest Taino Alive, Bronko Yotte, and many others. Santiago’s own man of many names and talents, German-born Atom™, will headline the night at Mala Vida, with support from latin fusionist and New York 2013 grad Lavina Yelb and upcoming participant White Sample, alongside Dementira b2b Motivado.
