Seth Troxler, Function, Dewalta & Shannon (Live) & More

  • As founding members of the Night Time Industries Association, we are delighted to be part of their newly launched Night Life Matters (#nightlifematters) campaign. Set out with a three pronged agenda to "Protect, Support & Celebrate" our night culture #nightlifematters have kick-started the movement with a strategy to build a collective of individuals who value nightlife by building support for the industry as it faces a myriad of challenges and threats. It's a sad fact that over the last ten years the number of UK clubs and live music venues has almost halved. Bringing together venues, club goers and artists as part of the effort, a weighty number of our own core family from Seth Troxler, Eats Everything, Groove Armada, Joris Voorn, Carl Cox to Richy Ahmed (among many others) have already pledged their support. What's more, this May Troxler will also head a launch event on the 21st, which also sees Craig Richards, DeWalta & Shannon, Function and more perform as part of a 6 date series of events within the United Kingdom which will fulfill the 'celebrate' arm of the #nightlifematters manifesto. To find out how you can support the campaign and learn more head to www.nightlifematters.com -- Seth Troxler’s charismatic presence is always a welcome thing in our party space, a basement that’s been privileged enough to have the Detroit born DJ visit on a regular basis. His sets are always dynamic and showcase tech focussed house at its best which stands complimentary to our resident Craig Richards’ own stellar selections. After numerous stand out live sessions in Room Two - where they’ve melded modular synthesis with live saxophone musicianship in their jazz informed take on techno - DeWalta & Shannon will be performing on the stage in Room One and completing the bill will be ToiToi resident Voigtmann exploring his sophisticated off kilter record collection. Taking over Room Two is Function’s long established and well respected Infrastructure imprint. Founded in New York the label was revived after a 9 year long hiatus in 2014 and has returned with a breath taking range of experimental leaning electronics. Function will be joined by Inland (Ed Davenport’s experimental alias) in addition to two emerging artists that the techno figurehead has been supporting on his roster with Campbell Irvine performing live and Post Scriptum on warm up duty.
