Commemorating the cinematography of a recently deceased master, Andy Votel – musician, DJ and producer – prepares a special musical tribute to Andrzej Żuławski and his exceptional film scores. Ranging from electronic through orchestral to psych rock and experimental, Votel will explore the music composed by Andrzej Korzyński for Żuławski’s most iconic Possession (1981) and Third Part of the Night (1971) using exclusively Polish vinyl records. Votel will present Żuławski through the creative bond with his long-running collaborator and prolific composer Andrzej Korzyński, with whom Żuławski formed a potent fusion to match those of Polański/Komeda, or Fellini/Rota.
The gig will feature visuals from Żuławski's films edited by Andy Rushton.
