Well into it’s third year, XOYO’s residency series has continued to deliver, so far seeing eight huge talents take on three months of consecutive Saturdays each. We recently announced that going into the second half of 2016 we would switch things up, moving the series to Friday as Tiga’s successor, Oneman takes over.
Stetham bred Steve Bishop has garnered an indisputable reputation under his Oneman moniker for his ability to synonymously blend disparate genres into hybrids that simply make you dance. Akin to his DJing style the billing for Oneman’s residency is both eclectic and seamless, paying homage to his London roots.
Entering the realm of music as a B-Boy breakdancer - Lunice was inspired to create the beats that he’d most love to dance to. As such, few hip-hop producers have such a high sense of dance music and how the ‘floor operates. Flash forward to 2016 and we find one of Toronto’s hottest exports as Lunice comprises one half of TNGHT alongside Hudson Mohawke. Except a big, brash and bass-laden set.
Joining him comes Hannah Faith, one of London’s hottest hip-hop prospects. A long term member of Soulection, Hannah brings a deep knowledge of Soul and Funk to her Hip-Hop sets alongside a definite sense of flair and fun.
