Lagasta presents: Γκαραζ

  • "There's a party in my mind...And I hope it never stops." La.Ga.Sta. is driving to London for a new clubnight called "ΓΚΑΡΑΖ" (Garage) at our favorite hangout Dalston Superstore. Driving with us on June 3 will be Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor and two artists making their London debut, This Soft Machine + Private Agenda! Laser Pit: ● Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) ● Stathis (Discosodoma) ● Vangelis (LaGaSta) Bar: ● This Soft Machine (Eskimo Recordings / MUC) ● Private Agenda -LIVE PA- (International Feel / BER) ● Wes Baggaley (Sleaze City) Hosted by: A Man To Pet & Max Allen THIS SOFT MACHINE (London Debut) ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Germany-based Australian producer/DJ Tim Sullivan is a man of many talents. Having previously operated under the moniker Das Moth, the prolific and highly respected producer has always wowed us with his quality tracks and remixes, solid disco edits, and mixtapes. And he continues to prove that he is one of Australian's finest producers under his new alias This Soft Machine, "a band at heart", as he says. With a killer debut release on Eskimo Recordings, and some top-notch remixes under his belt, This Soft Machine is coming to Dalston Superstore to celebrate the release of his brand-new single "It's Operational", a perfect slice of psychedelic-tinged modern disco. An irresistible fusion of disco, house and chiming nu-Balearic pop, "It’s Operational" is sure to place This Soft Machine firmly back within the contemporary dance music scene, with music that “consists solely of sounds recorded by human hands”. His first EP, “On & On” and “This Place Was Meant For Me” saw him delivering two finely-crafted disco-infused tunes that showcases his elegant style. For these two tracks, This Soft Machines has worked with Darkside's Dave Harrington on guitar, Cut Copy's Dan Whitford on synths, and Jack Nicholson’s daughter Lorraine on vocals. Last year also saw This Soft Machine dropped a groovy cosmic-disco remix of Horixon's "Hold It Like I Own" and an ace edit of Olga Chipovskaya’s ’80s electro track “Safari”, specially made for La.Ga.Sta.'s free "Late Summer" compilation Vol.5. This Soft Machine fist emerged back in 2014 with his great two-hour mix for Nicolas Jaar's Other People serial label, the second sighting was the highest played mix on Oki Ni & their 200th. PRIVATE AGENDA -LIVE PA- (London Debut) ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Berlin's Private Agenda have managed to make a name for themselves with their two stellar EPs, “Déjà Vu” and “Paralysed” of breezy, mid '80s Balearic pop goodness, released last year on Mark Barrott’s highly-respected International Feel label. Having recently launched their own imprint Nightshift, the rising trio of Nick, Martin and Sean continues to celebrate the diversity of disco music. The label's first release come from Private Agenda themselves with a new EP called "Full Moon", which channels those iconic vocal-led disco 12’’s of old. The record comes complete with remixes by the likes of Cazzo Pazz, a new project from Andy Butler of Hercules & Love Affair and Joie Iacono, Ichisan, and Life On Planets. "Full Moon": five different shades of disco, carefully crafted for the contemporary dancefloor. Disco treats from Berlin! Come join us for a ride. Vrooom!!!
