Cassy, our good ol’ friend.
She’s back on a creative peak, having just released an album, “Donna”, on AUS Music. Her divorce, leaving Berlin, toxic people, all things that at first stopped her from creating and then were sure fuel for coming up with the full length effort she’s now rightly proud of, a more mature version of herself ready for the world.
Can we assume the same of the picks on her record bag? We want to believe we can. After all, DJs aren’t machines and since the first ones would care even about the right amount of shine on the disco balls, that every performance is unique and unrepeatable. Cassy, who so well knows the old-world Techno, ended up discovering american Soul and coming up to a closing circle, joining influences. For Cassy, being able to achieve freedom while dancing is essential and that might explain why she’s one of our favourites and essential guests. There’s always something new when she visits, new stories to be heard, new melodies to enchant our ears, beats too good to be ignored. There’s always something. There’s always Cassy.
